Chapter 10: If Looks Could Kill I Would Be Dead By Now

Chapter 10:

I wanna scream and shout and let it all out...

"5, 6, 7, 8. Right, swing your arms to the left and double somersault in the air, throw your hands up and shift your head to the left and freeze." I panted as I froze with the rest of the team. Talking while dancing sure was very tiring.

"Okay girls. Practice tomorrow at 6." I heard several groans and mutters about how tired they were. I felt bad for everyone and I, myself, was extremely tired so I decided to call of tomorrow's practice. Tomorrow was a Tuesday so I could probably go for a run.

"Okay girls. No practice for tomorrow." All the girls practically screamed in delight. I shook my head slightly and chuckled under my breath.

All of us exited the gym room and walked towards our lockers. I quickly showered in the school's disgusting yellow-tiled bathroom. I know right? I felt like puking in there. I changed into a full-sleeved bright pink top with the letters, CHEER, sprawled on it. I paired it with a pair of high waisted black shorts and pink bellies with a black bow on top to go with my outfit.

I rushed out of the locker room, hoping I wasn't late for my class. I took out my literature books and entered my class. Nobody was seated just yet and I was grateful about that. I couldn't afford a single stain of failure on my resume if I wanted to go to Stanford, which reminds me I have to fill out my college applications too. Oh god, class 12 is so exhausting.

The bell rang and everyone was in their places within seconds. Ms James began her lesson with Shakespeare's Merchant of Venice. We had just started it a few days back and I was really enjoying it. It had such heavy drama yet it was subtle at the same time. With the type of English Shakespeare used it was kind of hard to understand it but I picked on after some scenes.

I saw Tyler walk into class and mutter an apology to Ms. James. He went and sat down on the farthest seat from me and took out his Merchant of Venice. I felt hurt that he purposely didn't sit next to me but then again he had a reason not to. I must have really hurt him and I felt really bad about it too.

It was just the same scenario with both the Greene brothers. I had not spoken to either of them in days and I was starting to regret my actions. I didn't know that I could cause such trouble to both of them, including me.

All of a sudden, Tyler's eyes mad contact with mine. I offered him a small smile but he gave me a cold stare instead. His eyes pierced into me. His look cut right into my heart and I felt a sudden lump develop in my throat. I looked away, not able to handle the look he was giving anymore.

I had to conduct my plan tomorrow only. I had no other option or I was going to have to deal with his death glares and if looks could kill I would be dead already.

He was anyways going to have to forgive me after that.

I woke up to my alarm clock ringing stridently. I tapped the side table next to my bed to capture my phone in my hands. I grabbed it and opened my eyes to a bare minimum to hit the snooze button and fell asleep again.

After what seemed like only a few seconds, my alarm rang again. This time instead of hitting the snooze button, I hit the dismiss button and got up grudgingly. I wore my slippers and slipped into the bathroom to freshen up.

I came out of the washroom minutes later wearing a full sleeve t-shirt which was baby pink and a dark pink jacket over it. It was starting to get chilly now days that October had arrived. I wore black track pants and slipped on my shoes. I tied my hair into a high pony tail and took my car keys.

Once I was in my car, I put my keys into the ignition and my car roared to life. I started the car and rode to the park. I got out of my car and walked towards the entrance of the park. I entered it and started jogging. I could smell the scent of flowers and the wet grass. I felt a sudden chill run down my spine.

I ran a few miles through the dense grounds of the park. I was extremely tired. I bent down and put the palms of my hands on my knees and started to breathe heavily. I straightened myself and walked towards the coffee shop down the street. I ordered a hot cup of coffee, took a sip and let the warmth spread through my body.

I was alone and had a lot of time to ponder on the recent choices I made in my life. I had upset two very outstanding boys, I hadn't had time to bond with my twin, Ryan and I still had to plan the very special way to win Tyler back. I already had it thought out; I just had to execute this plan.

Tyler didn't even show up yesterday for his tutoring session with me. But I guess I kind of expected it. I sighed and mixed my coffee with a spoon.

I pulled out my phone and texted the whole school.

Me: Party at my house Friday!! Halloween....Make sure to be there:)

I instantly got a dozen replies, from which more than half of were just statements of how excited they were.

Now I just needed a way to get Tyler to that party.
