During Mindy's science class, Mrs Lee brought Jarius in. The class all stood up and looked at them curiously. "Jarius will be with us today," Mrs Lee announced. "He needs to write a reflection because of how much he dropped in his CAs (term tests) Jarius, take the seat behind Mindy."
The class all turned around and stared at Mindy. Mindy instantly felt her face turning a beetroot red.
"See how embarrassed your sister is? Quickly finish your reflection, and return to class," Mrs Lee reminded. "We shall start class. For the second term..."

By the time Jarius finished his reflection, the class was finishing their class work. Mindy was hurrying to keep her textbook in her locker when she accidentally kicked Jarius' leg.
"S...Sorry!" Mindy confessed, flustered. "It was an accident!"
"Accident?!" Jarius retorted. "What Lau? It was deliberate! You go sabo me all you want lah Har."
Everyone dropped their pens and stared at the commotion. The other three moral guardians whispered among themselves.
"I never saw Jarius like that."
"I never heard Jarius cursing and using slang."
"This is not Jarius." Flora took action, walking up and stared at Jarius.
"Jarius, snap out of your addiction," Flora snapped. "Look at you now. You're a pro gamer at Level 999 in your game. Yet you do so badly for the things that matter most. And look, you have disappointed your family."
Jarius glared at Flora and pushed her. "I'm not asking for your opinion!"
"You have to accept the truth. This is the truth," Mindy stated, showcasing her blunt, serious side, surprising all who were used to her energy.
"So be it!" He raised his hand, and it sharply landed on Mindy's cheek. This left another mark on Mindy's face.
Mrs Lee, who heard the distinct hitting sound, stormed up. "I don't care how it started. Follow me you two. I will call your parents," Mrs Lee boomed.
Seeing the duo being dragged away m, the class stared in betrayal and shock.
"A little birdie told me he appealed for Mindy to play in the volleyball match last month."
"They're so close and yet this happened."
"This is sheer disappointing."
