FLASHBACK:

A loud slap resonated throughout the house.

"What are you stupid?", My father said screaming at my mother.

My mother was on the verge of tears. My brother and I watched as my mother was getting beaten. We just stood there doing nothing. The only thing I wanted at that moment was to stop him and shield my brother from this horrible sight.

He just kicked and punched her over and over again till she bled. He finally stopped and looked at us and gave a stare that could kill. I quickly rushed to my mother's side and checked how severe the beating was this time. She was on the floor lying on a pool of her own blood.

"Mom?", I sobbed.

She didn't respond.

"Mom!", I shouted, shaking her attempting to wake her up.

She passed out

BACK TO PRESENT:

"Why is she so cold?", Ji-su thought to herself as she touched her forehead. Ji-su hears a loud thud and footsteps coming from the door. She slowly made her way to the door and cautiously opened the door. She had gone down the stairs with a bat in her hand. She overhears a man talking,

"How is it my fault? It's not my problem.", he snickers maniacally.

"Excuse me?", Ji-su asked as she walked closer slowly.

He starts muttering nonsense something about Manager Han?

She slowly tries to pass the man as he faces the wall banging his head on the wall when he drops a soju bottle. The bottle rolls towards the stairs where Ji-su was. She starts to tremble in fear as the bottle stopped looking back at the man. She saw the man staring at her with blood dripping out of his nose. He walks closer to Ji-su with the blood rushing out. His bones start cracking as his body starts to deform. Ji-su out of self defense whacks her bat at him.

"Stay away.", Jae-heon said as he appeared with blood spatters on his face with a sword on his hand.

When the monster who  previously passed out woke up and snuck up behind Ji-su. Jae-hwan quickly reacted and sliced his sword right between the monster's head. The pair of eyes plopping down on the floor.

MEANWHILE DOWNSTAIRS:

"Stop! My daughter is still not here!", Jin-ok pleaded trying to stop them from blockading the door.

"Block it", Eun-hyeok said with no remorse.

"Are you crazy?", Seul-ki said as he shoved Eun-hyeok on the shoulder making them each other.

"We need to think about the people inside.", Eun-hyeok stated.

"We could save another person.",

"I don't think you can understand the gravity of the situation.", Eun-hyeok said as he walked closer.

"I understand more than anyone and we should save as much people as we can.", Seul-ki defended.

"We may not even know if they are still human.", Eun-hyeok replied.

They stared at each other trying to intimidate one another. When a loud blaring sound came from everyone's phone.

"What's this? An epidemic?", A lady holding a dog also known as Son Hye-in. Jin-ok starts sobbing as she falls on the floor looking at her phone.

TIME SKIP ~30 MINUTES

YUN SEUL-KI'S POV:

As I entered the room I overhear hear people arguing and trying to open the door to the staircase.
