Episode 8

Erica's POV

What a bastard of a king?

I pray you die in a twinkle of an eye.
I won't rest until you pay for eliminating my family.

It was evening already, as I quietly walked to the river and hide bind the tree and took my bath.

I wore back my leather pants, my shirt and shoes.

I got out from the river and walked back to the castle. I sat down at my usual spot and rested my back on the pillar.

I would be lying, if I tell you that I wasn't dying because of the cold of the night.

I was shivering to death as usual, when I was about to sleep off I could feel two beings standing in front of me.

How many times have I told them I don't need their help?

"Erica please can you take this blanket." Linda offered for the 16th time I started sleeping outside.

But I kept my eyes close, wrapping my arms around my body.

"You're dying out here in cold, Erica". Rosa told me.

I opened my eyes and gave them my usual annoyed expression.

"How many times have I told you two, I don't need any such of help from you blood suckers." I told them this for the 20th time.

"Can you stop calling us that.". Linda begged.

"But that's exactly what you all." I replied rudely.

"We get it. You hate vampires... "

"Yes I do, I don't only hate your kind, I also despise you all." I interjected Rosa.

"Stop this all, stop it." Linda almost yelled out as her eyes became watery.
"Why are you suffering yourself like this Erica. I understand, our kind took your family away from you. But please, your family wouldn't want you to suffer yourself for their death. They'll feel happier if you moved on. You haven't eaten for almost two months. I can't stand to watch you die, that's why I'm trying to help ya. So Erica please reconsider," Linda said and bowed her head towards me.

"Linda lets go, I'm so annoyed with her." Rosa finally spoke with watery eyes as they both left.

I don't understand, why are they disturbing theirselves over my case. Or maybe they are right? I should stop punishing myself. Mother, father and my sisters would be happy if I stay alive for them. Change of plan. I'm not planning on suffering myself for my inability to protect them but this time I'm setting a new plan.

I'll eliminate the king who took my family away from me. My family death won't be forgotten without vengeance. I'll avenge their death and maybe that's when all this guilt I'm feeling with vanish.

I got up and smiled. "Yes. The King of Eternal Kingdom be ready to die, because I'll make sure of it." I muttered to myself.

You want to move on, I'll move on. I'll associate myself with every blood suckers here, blend with them but at the end the King shall die. If he doesn't, I'll make sure I stab him real hard.

In a month time, I became myself once again. Linda and Rosa I've been such a help. I sleep in their rooms when I'm lucky but if I'm not I sleep outside.

I started to blend with few people in the castle. I changed completely but I decided to wash and wear my leather pants, shirt and boots. I'm not changing my dressing code.
The kitchen maids where truly nice, they make my food separately from theirs. I eat well and drink good water too.
