Everyone will be happy to see the next person POV

Steven POV:

Erica attitude and approach towards me, is so downgrading.
She's killing my ego, my pride and my sense of thinking.

Before I could utter a word to her, I'll have to think it through. I've suddenly picked up a sense of fear. Not that I'm scared of her killing me. I'm scared of wanting her when she won't feel same for me.

She's a hard and a stubborn woman to please, it was clear she wanted to screw me up after all those things I've done to her. I'm truly looking for that one simple move to make her forgive me, even if it's just a moment.

Seriously nothing entices her, It's quite frustrating. My sudden attraction to her is something I'm trying to understand.

There's no denial that I want her for myself and myself alone.
I could hear my name but I paid no attention to it as my mind was to look for a way to make Erica forgive.

"Steven." The voice came again.

Now I could register the voice. It was my grandmother.

"Steven." She called out loudly bringing me out from my deep thoughts

"What the hell were you thinking so deeply?" She queried studying my now confused expression.

"Something." I bluntly replied.

"Well I care less. I'll be out with my friends tomorrow so take good care of your sister." She told me like I did care.

Emma is 7 years old, she's well capable of taking good care of herself without my help.

I just nodded in reply, waiting for dinner to be served in the dinning room.

"Emma why the gloomy expression?" Granny ask.

But Emma said nothing and bent her face to her empty plate.

The Royal kitchen maidens entered into the dinning room and served our meal. The chicken was at the middle of the table, fried rice, coconut rice and apple sauce was served. Apple and strawberry pies were served for dinner. Pineapple and orange juices were also served.

Some maidens now turned around to get some bottle of water.

"Maidens." Grandmother stopped them as they turned to face her.

"Tell Erica to bring the bottles of water." She told them as the four girls replied with "Yes ma'am Lucy."

The mention of Erica only made my eyes sparkle with joy. I like seeing her around. And then she came in holding a tray of six bottle of water.

She dropped the tray and served it to granny, Emma and I. Emma kept looking at her with gloomy eyes but Erica didn't bother looking her way.

I felt sad for Emma. I did warn her to be careful.

"Erica dear. I hope the food served by the maidens ain't poisoned?" Granny asked.

"Not at all." She replied boringly.

This woman have got some characteristics I've never seen in other women before. I just like her aura her guts and her beauty.

Her beauty is very well unique. And that's why I want her for myself.

Her boring attitude made me smile mindlessly.

"Beautiful, I'm glad you're taking this assignment seriously." Granny told her with a big smile serving herself some rice.
