Episode 13

Erica's POV

    Right now, I was kneeling before Steven in his room.

"Why do you stupid human always like embarrassing me?"

Just look at who is talking here? I'm the one who always gets embarrassed or more like harassed.

"I don't want to see you ever again, near my sister. Because if I do, consider yourself in pain." He warned angrily.

"Now get up. Get a rag and a bucket of water. I want this hallway spotless." He told me with no care in the world if It's too much for I to do.

I stared at him for some seconds and got up to clean the royal main hallway. I cleaned the ground with a rag and when I was almost done someone kicked the bucket of water to the ground.

I looked up to see it was Lady Nika.
What did she do that for?

"Start again." She told me arrogantly and left with a satisfied smile.

Screw you and Steven.
Screw you both.

And I started to clean again.
When I was finally done I went into the kitchen to see the kitchen maidens preparing dinner.

"Hello girls." I greeted as they snapped their necks towards my direction.

"Oh my gosh. Erica we are so glad you're okay," one of them said with warm eyes.

Why do they care?

"Yes, we didn't see you for almost 5 days now." another said.

"We were all scared, we might loose you." Another maiden added.

So they all cared about me?

"Don't worry, we have fetched waters and fire woods, so you could rest." A maiden told me with a smile as she held my hands.

If I'm not Mistaken her name is Sonia and Indian lady.

"Please try to stay away from those stupid 3. Jessy, Nora and Bella are bad news, Instead they are the black sheep's amongst us." Sonia told me.

"No need to worry, I'll be fine."
"And thanks for helping me out. I don't know why you did so?" I spoke out with a little voice trying to understand, why they'll help a human like me.

"Because we are all friends. We like you so well, we don't really understand why but we truly want to be friends with you." Sonia told me as I stared at them with widen eyes.

"Really?" I skeptically asked.

"Yes." They all chorused.

Deep down my heart melted a little. This vampires, helped me, they care for me and now they all want to be my friends.

What did I exactly do to get all this nice treatment from this particular maidens? Suddenly they hugged me and I hugged them back still being shocked why I was doing so.

Are they being nice or are they all faking it?

I feel a bit happy to hear this but I'll keep my guards up.

"Vampires can't be trusted. They are lairs and well deceiving, never trust their skims." The words of my father rang in my head as I quickly broke the hug.

"Guys guys. I'll keep myself safe and out of trouble. No need to worry." I told them with a sweet smile as they also smiled at me.

"Alright get back to work." I told them as they did.

Once they were done cooking, I ate and went outside to sleep.

Everyone is being too nice to me suddenly. 5 months with them, I was expecting, arrogance, suffering, harassment, wickedness and so many rude comments from them all.
