Soda and I headed out the door after saying goodbye to Darry and got into Soda’s car. Me and Soda had fun talking and listening to music on the way to my house. After getting to my house I went inside and changed really fast while Soda waited in the car. I then grabbed everything I needed for work and then headed back out to Soda.

“I love that shirt,” Soda said as I got into the car.

“Aw, thanks” I said while getting in his car and closing the door.

‘Where did you get it?” Soda asked while trying to start a conversation.

“Oh, remember my ex-boyfriend Ken?” I asked while looking down at my shirt. Soda shook his head yes.

“Yeah well he got this for me,” I said with a half smile.

“I never liked him,” Soda said with a frowning pissed off kinda face.

“Why not?” I asked while kinda laughing.

“Because he was a soc,” Soda said with a look of disgust and hatred on his face.

“Oh but he was a sweetheart,” I said while looking down at my hands.

“Until he cheated on you” Soda said in a kind of sarcastic voice.

I didn’t say anything in return and the rest of the ride was silent. I just looked out the window. What Soda said kinda hurt. I mean he knew I was in love with Ken at the time, and to kinda rub it in like that just really hurt.

After a little while we made it to the DX. I got out of the car and still didn’t say another word to Soda. I walked inside and went to go find Steve.

“Good morning Stevie,” I said while hoping up on the workbench and smiling at Steve.

“Good morning Annie,” Steve said with a smile.

When Soda saw this I could see he looked mad. I didn’t understand why he was mad though me and Steve were always this close. We had been best friends since we were babies. Me and Soda are also best friends but we’ve grown apart ever since he started dating Sandy. Well partially because Sandy doesn't really like me, I don’t mind her but for some reason she just really doesn't like me.

Later that day I was just sitting there at the counter filing my nails when a guy around 18 came in asking if his car was ready.

“What kind of car is it sir,” I asked in the same polite voice I always use.

“A mustang sweetheart” the guy said while smirking at me. I wasn't surprised by him calling me sweetheart since a lot of people did.

“Alright here you go, it should be right out front,” I said while giving the guy his keys.

“Thanks cutie, hey maybe I can take you somewhere since my car is all fixed now.” the guy said while smirking at me.

I just gave the guy a half smile in return. I knew he was a soc and I didn’t feel like starting anything so I just smiled.

“How about you give me a call later” the guy said while winking at me and sliding a piece of paper over the counter to me. I took the piece of paper still not wanting to start anything.

“Bye cutie” the guy said while smirking at me and leaving.

I slid the piece of paper into my pocket, and a little while after the guy left Soda came from the back and asked to talk to me.

“Yeah what’s up?” I asked him.

“I’m really sorry for what I said earlier, it was very wrong of me.” Soda said with a sad disappointed in himself look on his face.

“Don’t worry about it.” I said while giving Soda a warm smile.

“Thank you Annie,” Soda said while giving me a hug. I was a little taken back by the hug but I still hugged him back, and if we were being honest it felt nice to hug Soda again, since we haven't hugged like this since he started dating Sandy.
