Jealousy (A Sodapop Curtis Fanfiction)

Chapter 6

Me and Soda walked into the house and sat down as well as the Pony, Two-Bit, and Steve. I sat down on the couch next to Steve and then Soda came and sat on the other side of me. We were all kinda talking and trying to see what we wanted to do that day. Two-Bit was going to the movies with Pony and Johnny, and so Steve and Soda decided they wanted to go to a car show that was in town for the weekend.

“Do you wanna go with us Annie?” Steve asked while getting up off the couch.

“Ehhhh, car shows aren't the most exciting.” I said leaning back against the couch.”

“Oh come on Annie, it will be fun” Steve said while smiling at me.

“We will buy you ice cream” Soda said since he knew I was a sucker for ice cream.

“Fine,” I said with a sigh.

“Great” Soda said while getting off the couch and giving me a hand up.

We all then went and got into Steve’s car. They made me sit in the back which I wasn’t very happy about, but I didn’t say anything. We arrived at the car show, and the boys quickly got out of the car. It was hilarious they were like little excited puppies.

“Come on” Both of them said while grabbing both of my hands and leading me through the crowd. Both of the boys kept going around and practically drooling over some of the cars. Now don’t get me wrong I love cars and I went and looked at different ones but the boys are obsessed.

I was looking at this one car, when a guy around 17 came up to me and started flirting with me.

“So what’s a little cutie like you doing here with all these men?” The guy said while smirking at me.

“Oh I’m just here with some of my friends,” I replied in a kind of nice voice since I knew this guy was a big time soc and I didn't want to start anything.

“Well I”m Bruce” The guy said while looking me up and down. I felt very uncomfortable at this moment, but I didn’t really know what to do.

“So who are your friends that you're with, are they just as cute as you?” Bruce asked while still smirking at me and grabbing my arm.

“Turn around!” Soda yelled. When I looked behind the guy Soda and Steve were both standing there with their arms crossed looking at the guy. Bruce just looked at them and then back at me. 

“How about you let go of her,” Steve said in a demanding voice while stepping closer.

“She’s not yours” The guy said with a smirk.

“I’m not anyones” I said in a stern voice at Bruce while ripping my arm out of his grip. 

“Now how about you leave us alone, and get on your way.” Soda said while stepping closer to Bruce. I could tell Bruce was kind of scared of Soda and Steve, and so he left. 

“Thank you guys,” I said while hugging both of them.

“No worries,” both of them said while hugging me back.

“He didn’t hurt you right?” Soda asked while looking at me and my arm.

“No not really,” I said while looking down at my arm.

“Well that’s good,” Steve said while wrapping his arm around my shoulder. Soda then also wrapped his arm around my shoulder and we all walked to the car.

We all got in the car, but this time I sat in between them. It was a little tight, but the boys said they could tell I felt left out, and they didn’t want me to feel that way. The boys have always noticed how I felt even if I barely showed it they could tell if I was unhappy or uncomfortable or whatever I was feeling they could tell.

We then arrived at Dairy Queen and went through the drive thru. We then sat in the car talking while we ate our ice cream. I didn’t end up finishing mine so the boys ate the rest of it. After we were done it was getting late and so we headed back to the Curtis house.

When we got there Darry had just gotten home, so I helped him make dinner. I loved cooking with Darry, he was kinda like a parent to me too. We made dinner for the four of us since Pony wasn’t home yet.

After dinner Darry went to bed since he had been at work all day, so I went and laid on the floor with the boys. We all ended up falling asleep on the floor while watching Mickey Mouse.
