It has been a while since new members are added to the Special Division 4 in Public Safety Tokyo Branch. Shinichi partnered up with Beam, the Shark Fiend, while Bronya stay at the base to do office work. Ryoga continue his way of life as a private Devil Hunter. Everything going fine for each side, for now.

At a hotel, the team of seven from the Special Division 4; Aki, Shinichi, Arai, Kobeni, Himeno, Denji and Power, are sent to a hotel where there's a report of a devil located there. Several civilian Devil Hunters went inside the hotel to deal with the devil inside, but they are found dead. Aki is holding a meat-bullet stuck to a string in order to track a fragment of the Gun Devil.
Aki: It's hiding somewhere in this hotel. And this is no ordinary devil. It's eaten a piece of the Gun Devil's flesh.
Shinichi: I won't be suprise, considering any devil that eat it will get stronger.
Denji: Maybe it's the Gun Devil for real?
Aki: The more flesh, the stronger the attraction. *turn back* The reaction's not big enough.
Denji: Huh, guess not.
Aki: *turn around* ...
Power: How amusing... Give that thing to me!
Aki: I thought I told you two to work on your manners.
Denji/Power: Huh? Who the hell's gonna suck up to you for no reason?! / How foolish and conceited these humans be!
Then Aki take out two piece of bubble gum bar, making Denji and Power show some manners.
Denji: Hayakawa-senpai.
Power: Senpai.
Aki: Good.
Denji: Sweet!
Power: Heheh!
They take the gums each.
Denji: Dude, he's so sweet.
They take off the wrappers and eat the bubble gum, chewing it.
Arai: Hayakawa-senpai! Considering we're about to fight some devils... Can we really trust these two to watch our backs? One's a fiend, and the other is some punk... I'm not sure about this.
Aki: We can't let them watch our backs. On extermination missions, they'll be taking point. If they try to run or switch sides, we kill them.
Power: You're treating us like livestock!
Aki: You two don't get rights.
The two turn around and speak with each other.
Denji: He's super pissed. Must be from this morning.
Power: Perhaps our prank went too far?
Aki: You call that a prank?! I could kill you!
Himeno: Yikes.
Shinichi: What happened?
Denji whisper at Shinichi's ears.
Shinichi: Hmm I see, I see. No wonder Aki wants to kill you.
Aki: Shinichi-san, how come you can get along with them?
Shinichi: I surround by crazies all the time. This is nothing new.
Hinemo: So, what happened? Aki-kun, you can't just be harsh, all the time, y'know?
Denji: She's right! Not only the bat, but then there's that boar thing almost killed me, and now there's more work?! I want a reward!
