"What do you mean there's no money in her accounts?", Sabelo was meeting with his lawyer before they could sign the divorce papers. "She transferred all her money before you asked for a divorce, y'all gonna share your money", the lawyer explained, "No, it can't be. She has more money than me, I had a plan, man.", he lashed out frustrated. "How much do you think my assets are worth?", he asked trying to find a solution, "I don't know but if you sell, she'll also benefit". Sabelo banged the table in anger, he certainly did not expect Ingo to be this smart, "What if I withdraw the divorce?", he exercised another option, "If she agrees, you'll have your money, nothing will change.", the lawyer replied. He was caught between the rock and a hard place; Ingo was not so stupid to allow him back in her life after he made it hard for her. "Another thing, she wants shared custody of the kids", the lawyer added, "She can take full custody for all I care; I only want the money from her", Sabelo said, "Maybe go see her before we meet later, you might influence her mind", the lawyer suggested. "I need to call Mdluli, he's gonna find out where she hid her money", Sabelo said taking out his phone, "How is that going to change anything?" "I will find a way to make them transfer it back to her account without her knowledge, and know how much I am fighting for", he explained while texting Mdluli because his phone was off.
Londi was brought to the stand as a character witness, "How long have you been friends with the suspect?", Ingo's lawyer began questioning, "More than 10 years", she was visibly a nervous wreck, "And during those years, how was she?" "Ingo is a bubbly person, she always looked at things from another people's perspective, she loved her husband unconditionally she even understood things she never thought she would,", Ingo felt like crying because Londi was telling the truth, she'd tell Londi she won't understand, "she believed in forgiveness and letting go". "Had she ever shown signs of violence in your presence?", the lawyer asked, "No, She and Sabelo would only argue." "No further questions, thank you your Honour", the lawyer sat down. The prosecutor stood up and went to stand in front of Londi, he could see she was shaking, "Londi, you've never visited Ingo in jail yet you call each other best friends, why is that?", Londi swallowed, "I, I was busy at work", she said, "Oh, but you managed to attend all her court appearances, is it possible that you knew she murdered Zinhle since you know she watches a lot of murder cases?" "Objection your Honour!", Ingo's lawyer stood up, "Withdrawn", the prosecutor said, "Let me try again, did Ingo watch a lot of murder series?", Londi nodded, already suffocating, "How often? Maybe, once, or twice a week?" "Every day", people started mumbling, "Would you say she was obsessed with a crime?", the prosecutor asked, "Objection, my lord!" "No further questions, your honour", the prosecutor sat down. Ingo knew Sabelo told the prosecution about her love for crime documentaries, but he was not fully honest. She loved solving cases because it made her happy to see justice win, she never watched unsolved cases and didn't care about serial killers.
"Hey Londi, wait up!", Mabutho yelled as Londi rushed out of the court, "I need to be at work soon, I'm in a hurry I have to catch a cap", she said, "Let's ride together, I came with my car". "You did great in there", he said once they were on their way, "Thanks, what were you doing there, anyway?", Mabutho thought of a fast lie, "My friend is a lawyer and he attends this case to take some points, he wanted some company and I didn't mind", she nodded. "She called me one of the days, she was angry AF", she chuckled, "She's gonna be fine, but you have to be honest with her and ask her what really happened, you deserve to know, she needs a friend", he advised. "You actually give good advises", she said, "Are you in a relationship?", he almost chocked, "If you don't mind me asking", she realised he was getting uncomfortable, "No, not yet but I have someone in my mind", he answered, "Mmmh", they stayed quiet for a while. "She didn't tell me she was getting a divorce" "Who?", he acted dumped, "Ingo, of course. I was puzzled when her lawyer brought it up yesterday, she must be feeling horrible", Mabutho didn't comment. Londi have been connecting the dots, she remembered Ingo asked about him on the day of his arrival, he's been talking about her and attending to her case, something was up. "You like her, don't you?", she hoped he would not get offended, "What? I don't even know her", he became defensive, but Londi saw he was hiding a blush, "Oh okay", she said, "She's an interesting person but I don't look at her like that", he tried to justify himself.
