"I must admit that the journey to Kiros was quite uncomfortable. Of all the species in the galaxy, and she was the one I least expected to encounter. I was among Kaminoans for most of my life, and it was not a very pleasant experience to say.
To the Kaminoans, we clones were nothing more than laboratory rats. Test subjects. The result of an egocentric experiment. All the same. All the same person.
I remember Hina a bit... scared. I avoided making contact with her at all costs and letting her discover my identity, but I had so many questions that I couldn't contain myself.
Rage: - And tell me. - I changed my tone of voice. - What does a Kaminoan do on a planet as hostile as Tatooine? I thought your species preferred wetter climates. -
Hina: - I didn't go to Tatooine on my own. The pirates took me there. -
Rage: - I never imagined that some pirates would attack one of the Republic ships. -
Hina: - They didn't. - I remember that I turned around and looked at her out of the corner of my eye, trying to force a conversation that neither of us wanted to have.
Kilo: - Were you in a civilian transport? - "Well done, Kilo." I remember thinking.
Hina: - No. I was the medical officer of the Venator ZR-67-1, also known as the Concordia. The ship suffered catastrophic damage from a Separatist surprise attack. I sealed the medical bay before the vacuum of space swept us away, and we stayed there. Four clone medical officers, some wounded, and I. We were stranded in space for a while. Until a ship found us. I thought it was our salvation, but I was wrong. The pirates entered the bay and killed all the clones. They took everything they could, and I was taken prisoner. - A tear began to flow from Hana's eye. - I don't want to remember what those bastards did to me - She said stammering as he began to cry spitefully.
Kilo: -Rage. I need help. My protocol has no information on how to react in this situation. -
The route was already scheduled, so I went to the back where Kilo was doing "his best" to try to calm down Hina, who couldn't stop her wailing. I slowly approached and sat next to her. The funniest thing of all is that I also went blank. I felt just as useless as Kilo, they just hadn't taught me what to do in these situations.
Rage: - Now you're safe. Once we get to Kiros you won't have to worry about pirates or war. You will be able to take a transport from the safe routes and you will reach Coruscant safely. -
It was the only thing I could think of to say to her, but at least Hina was able to calm down a bit.
Hina: - Thank you. I'll make sure that when I get to Coruscant the reward credits are transferred to you. -
I thought for a moment, and I thought that I really didn't need them.
Rage: - It's okay. You can stay with them. Let's say it will be the payment of my debt to you. -
Hina looked at me strangely, not knowing what I was referring to, and I don't blame her, since I never took off my robe or showed my face.
When Hina calmed down I went back to the pilot's seat while she and Kilo stayed behind. I thought that the rest of the trip was going to be calmer, but I understood that it wouldn't be the case when I saw how Hina sat in one of the passenger seats beside me.
Rage: - I think you don't fit there. - I told her when I saw her go through work so that her head did not hit the ceiling or the control panel.
Hina: - It's okay. Besides, it's kind of boring back there with that tin. -
Kilo: - I'm not a tin. I am a class protocol droid... -
Rage: - It's a mockery, Kilo. - I interrupted him.
Kilo: - I don't understand the meaning of the "mockery". Why would calling me tin be laughable? - Hina gave a slight laugh while I sighed thinking that Kilo was hopeless.
Hina: - And tell me about you. -
Rage: - Me? I don't think it's a good idea. -
Hina: - Why not? It seems unfair to me that you know more about me than what I know about you. - I rubbed my face with my hand while thinking how childish her justification was.
Kilo: - I must admit that Rage... is quite an interesting being. - He said as he sat in the empty passenger seat.
Hina: - Well. He is a Jedi. There was no less. - Kilo stayed processing for a few seconds.
Kilo: - I don't think the word Jedi... is the most appropriate. -
Rage: - Kilo. - I called his attention.
Hina: - I have studied the Jedi for a long time. And I must admit they are... interesting. But you are quite strange. Jedi are usually calmer and less impulsive. And they would never do what you did in the mines on Tatooine. What are you exactly? -
Rage: - Let's say a not very conventional one. - At that moment we came out of hyperspace and saw the planet of Kiros through the windows. But something was not right. - Hina. Go back. Kilo, redirect all power to the engines and rear shields. This will be a bumpy trip. -
When we came out of hyperspace we were just a few clicks away from a huge battle between the Republic and Separatist fleets. If we wanted to land on the planet, we would have no choice but to go through that chaos."
