Law

I wasn't very surprised to find Luffy-ya was nice yet his friends on the other hand seemed suspicious of me. Sanji-ya and Zoro-ya would give me side eyes now and again. While Nami-ya would smile a fake smile and act like she was giving Luffy-ya her full attention yet it was really on me. Usopp-ya would say stuff like, "Don't mess with me! I have 1000 men on stand-by ready to attack at my command." Even Mr. Bones-ya would look right at us watching carefully though I think he was watching me. The only ones that seem to act normal were a woman named Robin-ya and Luffy-ya, though Robbin-ya would say some dark things at times that I didn't pay attention to.

Law sighed taking a clipboard from the front desk of the hospital and reading it over carefully. The only time this hospital got critical patients was when gangs or Pirates the Marines would call them had fights.

"Did you hear about what happened a few days or so ago?" A short nurse said to a talker one.

"No. I wasn't here for the last two weeks."

"Well, there was a recent battle with an infamous group called Thriller Bark Pirates or something like that. Once they were treated they were escorted to Impael Down not long after. They said the people to do it were The Straw-Hat Pirates." The shorter gossiped.

'Straw-Hat Pirates?" Law couldn't help but think of Luffy at that moment looking over to the girls.

"Oh my!" The taller gasped, "There's no way they came out unscathed! Did they show up here?"

"No. We would have been able to put two and two together but no one with injuries worse than minor things showed up!"

"Do you think they have a doctor?" The taller asked.

"Maybe. When the Marines tried to question some of the prisoners that weren't hurt too bad they wouldn't say anything! Not even what they looked like! Can you believe it!?" The shorter waved her hands.

"I heard their leader is the devil himself. Nine feet tall, crazy sharp crooked teeth, the body of a beast, and so sadistic even his crew is scared of him!"

Penguin walked up to the girls, "I heard he likes to eat young and tender women when they walk at night alone or children when they run from their parents." He noted making the nurses look at each other scared.

Shachi smacked Penguin in the head before forcing him to bow to the two women, "Sorry ladies. My friend here is just being stupid. Isn't that right Penguin!"

"But that's really what I-" Law smacked Penguin on the back of the head with the clipboard before pushing his way from them with Shachi following behind.

"Ow! What was that for?" Pengiun wined.

"Dumbass! I should hit you again for doing that to them." Shachi growled putting his hands on his hips.

"I was just informing them! There's nothing wrong with that!" Penguin moved behind Law using him as a shield.

"You do realize what time it is, don't you?" Law asked.

"Mmm. No why?"

"It's 11:14 you little shit," Shachi noted putting Penguin in a headlock.

"But people say the Straw-Hats do nab people in the middle of the night. If you're a guy you join the crew, a woman, you get used, a child, you get sold." Penguin stated holding his hands up in defense.

"Are The Straw-Hat-ya's as bad as they say they are?" Law said mainly to himself.

"Are you curious about them Law?" Shachi asked letting go of Penguin at this forgetting about him as he fell to the ground gasping.

"I guess you could say that." Law looked at his clipboard for a moment. He had heard Corazon talk about them before yet Cora never really said anything ill towards them. He even talked about how the chief would thank them sometimes.

"I mean now that you say something about it. They do help the Marines catch Pireates that they could never get even if they don't mean to." Shachi put a finger on his chin thinking.

"Yeah, but they still do things that are bad right? Like didn't they fight one of the Seven War Lords? And didn't they land in G-8 too?" Pengiun pulled himself from the floor.

"Yeah. And there was that attack at Enies Lobby too. They've moved over here to the 'New World' recently." Shachi added.

Law looked over to a clock on the wall that read 11:28. "I'm leaving. My shift is up. See you guys tomorrow." Law turned walking away from the two as they waved saying bye to him as well.

'The real reason the Mariens are going after them is that there scared of them. They might be doing good now but what about in two years? No one knows.' Law sighed taking off his lab coat putting it in his locker grabbing out his bag before leaving. As he walked out of the hospital his phone went off in his pocket.

"Hey Law," Cora said sounding sleepy.

"Hey Cora-ya," Law said simply.

"Did you just get off work?"

Law nodded but Corazon couldn't see it, "Yeah did you need something?" Law looked around at the empty road and walkways feeling at peace. I was quiet and relaxed.

"Yeah. I was wondering if you could pick up so things for me tomorrow. I won't be home till late for the next few days and do have time to shop tonight." Cora yawned making Law yawn as well.

"Yeah, I can. Did something happen at work?" Law felt a little worry form at the bottom of his stomach.

"Not really. We have a lot of Marines that were sent to a different unit and were a little short-staffed at the moment."

A weird noise caught Law's attention making him slow his pace. Corazon started rambling on about something about work and stuff but Law wasn't listening. There was a thud noise around the corner that was blocking Law's view. Carefully he walked towards the corner. A cough sounded and it was as if someone poured water on the ground. As he got even closer someone walked out. A red hoodie, blue shorts, and sandals.

"People say the Straw-Hats do nab people in the middle of the night. If you're a guy you join the crew, a woman, you get used, a child, you get sold," Law's heart raced as he was ready to fight if needed remembering what Penguin said in the hospital. Law notice the person sway a little as they turned to him. Their hand was covering their arm with their hand which was covered in blood.

Law keep his guard up until he saw the person's face, "Straw-Hat-ya?"
