Law

Law walked out of the operating room pulling off his white gloves that were stained scarlet. As soon as everyone saw him they jumped up asking a million different questions, "One at a time!"

Ace stepped forward, "Will he be alright?" 

Law threw the gloves in the trash, "Yes, for now. I've done everything I can. He'll have scaring but no problems.

The tension in the room seemed to melt away slowly.

"Can I ask how he got this way?" Law asked.

Everyone was quiet for a moment till Robin spoke up, "Three weeks ago on the day you disappeared, Luffy ordered us all to split up and look for you. We all agreed to meet back up at Luffy's apartment today to discuss what we found. Everyone but Marco, Ace, Sabo, and Luffy made it back. I had got some black market information on your were about and the information hole."

Nami chipped in this time, "I ordered two teams to split up. Sanji, Zoro, Jimbe, and Usopp went to destroy the information hole while Franky, Robin, Chopper, Brook and I headed this way. That's when Ace called me saying we needed a doctor."

Law nodded. He looked to Ace, Sabo, and Marco waiting for an explanation.

"It was my fault for not being able to protect him. I should have been the one to get injured." Ace gritted his teeth looking to the floor with tears in his eyes. Sabo put his hand on Ace's back.

"What do you mean?" Law asked watching the three.

"Luffy wanted to split up but Ace rejected the idea saying it would be dangerous. Luffy didn't want to listen, so Ace compromised. Ace decided we should meet up at the same spot and then we all head back to the apartment together but Luffy  or Ace return." Marco sighed.

"I had found them first. When I arrived Luffy was fighting with Akainu at a Marien base. Ace was chained and couldn't get free about to get executed. I tried to get to him but the Maries blocked the way. Not long after that Marco showed up with White Beard and his crew. Finally, some of White Beard's crew distracted Akainu. Luffy was able to get to Ace and set him free. With Ace save we tried to retreat but Akainu chased Luffy and Ace. Luffy jumped out in front of Ace to save him from ending up getting killed but ended up like this." Sabo finished looking at Marco getting his attention.

"I couldn't even protect Lu. It should have been me." Ace's voice broke tears falling now. Marco pulled Ace into his chest rubbing his back as he cried silently in his chest.

"If it's anyone's fault, it's all mine. I'm the one who go myself involved with Mugiwara-ya knowing my past ties." Law bowed deeply, "I'm sorry."

No one said anything. A loud banging came from the door making everyone jump and Law stand straight again. Nami quickly walked to the door opening it seeing Sanji, Zoro, Jimbe, and Usopp were covered in scratches, cuts, and ash. They walked in noticing everyone's grim faces.

"We destroyed the information hole like asked but why is everyone depressed? What happened?" Usopp asked looking at Law and noticing the scrubs he was wearing covered in Luffys blood.

"Where's Luffy and why are you covered in blood?" Uospp asked again.

Zoro and Sanji could already tell something bad happened to Luffy, "It's Luffys blood isn't it." Zoro hit right on the mark. 

Law noticed Zoro and Saji turn to him ready to pounce on him, "It is but Mugiwara-ya was injured. I just finished operating on him not that long ago."

Sanji's face changed immediately to a more relieved expression but was still pissed, "What? He was injured?! How?!" He turned from Law to the others seeing Ace cry making him panic, "He's not dead is he." Saji gritted his teeth.

"I'll kill the asshole who did this to him if he is," Zoro growled.

"No, he's stable for the time being. He's in a comatose state at the moment but he should live." Law explained watching the two calm a little.

Sanji pulled out a cigarette, "What to explain why the  captains hurt."

Nami jumped in explaining everything all over again while Law walked back into the operating room. A group walked past Law into the waiting room with first aid to treat Sanji, Zoro, Jimbe, and Usopp's wounds. Law pulled off his scrubs throwing them away before looking down the hallway towards the room they had put Luffy in making his heart hurt and gilt pool into his chest. He turned away deciding to distract his mind by cleaning up the operating room.

1 week later

Law

Law stood at Luffy's room door finally finding the courage to see Luffy. Shachi and Penguin told Law that Luffy had woken up not long ago. Law hadn't slept and barely ate anything due to being too worried about Luffy to do anything. Law sighed turning the door knob holding his breath. Law walked in and saw Luffy covered in bandages making his heart hurt. He sat down next to the bed watching Luffy's sleeping face. He seemed at peace while sleeping. 

Law felt like he wanted to cry as he held Luffy's hand gently, "I'm so sorry Mugiwara-ya. It's all my fault for letting you get involved with me." Law's eye's teared up and his voice broke, "It's all my fault your hurt like this. I should have just pushed your way. I didn't want this. I wanted you to hate me and break our ties."

Luffy's grip tightened on Law's hand but he didn't notice, "I'm so sorry Mugiwara-ya." Tears fell from his eye's slowly.

"Shishishi, It's not your fault Traffy," Luffy laughed weakly with a big smile.

Law jumped letting go of Luffy's hand, "M-Mugiwara-ya..."Law studdered, tears flowing faster down his face.

Luffy looked at Law with a worried smile, "Why are you crying Traffy?" Luffy put his hand on the side of Law's cheek using his thumb to wipe his tears.

Law leaned into Luffy's touch holding Luffy's hand to his face, "I'm just glad you're okay."

Luffy closed his eyes giving Law a smile that took up half of his face. It was brighter than any sun or angel, "I'm so sorry. I should have told you not to come to find me and give up on me but I couldn't stand to see you hate me."

Luffy sighed, "Come here." He pulled Law into the bed with him, "I could never hate you. I love you too much Traffy." 

Law wrapped his arms around Luffy's waist and laid his head on Luffys stomach being careful of his chest due to the wound. "I love you too," He sniffled.

Luffy slowly played with Law's hair making him drowsy, "Just sleep. You look like a wreck," He giggled softly. "Your friends told me you've not been eating or sleeping but standing at my door and pacing the hallways," A tone of worry mixed into his voice.

The tears slowly stopped as Law fell asleep in Luffy's lap happy he didn't hate him. It's all he wanted to be in Luffy's arms kissing him and loving him. He wanted to see that innocently gorgeous smile that shone brighter than any star in the sky and gets lost in his big bright brown eyes.
