Chapter 3: The Mysterious Hot Guy

[Lydia's Pov]

"Ugh! I hate those two!" I groaned.

"If Robin hasn't interfered, they'll be in the hospital right now," Stephanie growled.

"They won't be so lucky next time!" I grumbled.

*Beep*

I received a message from my cousin. He's the next Alpha in line.

"Steph, I think I know how we can get our revenge."

C: How's school?

L: It's been terrible. Can I meet you at the pack house?"

C: Sure.

Christ's family has a really complicated backstory. It was thanks to a certain Vampire King that his parents were made the Alpha and Luna of the pack.

I shifted and ran all the way back to the school. I needed something of Ashley's so that Christ can track her down. I broke the hinge of the locker and took her jacket.

"I'll finally be rid of you."

[Christ's Pov]

*Knock*

"Come in," I replied.

"Cousin!"

It was Lydia.

"What's wrong?" I asked.

Just after I asked, she began to sob dramatically.

"Chrisssst! You have to help me!" She pleaded. "You need to get rid of someone for me."

I took the jacket she brought with her and sniffed it. Its scent was driving me crazy. How could a human's scent have this effect on me?

"Rest assured, I'll handle this."

[Ashley's Pov]

We didn't have classes today, but we came back to school to collect some books from the school library. The temperature has gotten colder and I went to get my jacket.

"Who did this?!" I shouted.

My locker had been burst open. I checked for any missing items. Everything was in there except my jacket. I flipped through my locker and still couldn't find it.

"Why would someone break my locker, just to take my jacket?" I asked.

"Girl, you have some crazy stalkers," Dessie commented when she passed by.

"No, it's Lydia," Jase replied.

[Jase's Pov]

I ran towards the classroom and slammed the door open. I looked around the classroom and see them grinning at my presence.

"What have you done?" I growled.

Lydia stood up and clapped.

"I knew you'll figure it out!" She smirked.

"How dare you." I clenched my fist in anger. The ground began shaking vigorously and cracks appeared on the walls and the ceiling.

"What's happening?" Stephanie shrieked.

Before I could do any more damage to the classroom, Ashley had dragged me out of the school.

"What was that?" She gasped.

"It was me," I pant.

She laughed, "I know you said you have powers but I did not expect that. You should have seen their faces!" I began to laugh. I had not expected her to be this collected.

"Ashley, we need to go! Someone is coming after you, they've got your scent." I warned.

[Christ's Pov]

"You're going to regret this!" My wolf shouted.

"What are you talking about?!" I shouted back mentally.

"You'll see." He taunted.

As soon as he said that, I caught the scent of the target. It was coming from the red car. Two girls got out of the car.

I hid in the shadows as I followed them into the school compound. Before I could take another step, the girl behind the target seems to notice my presence and walked towards my hiding place. Crap!

Right before she caught me, the target shouted. She turns away and ran towards the target.

They were now standing in front of a locker. I caught up with them and listen to their conversation.

"No, it's Lydia!"

How did she know?

The target went into a classroom and I followed her. The ground was shaking when I got there. Before I could find out what happened, both of them ran out.

When I see them running towards their car, I jumped into my car and trailed behind them. The car finally pulled up in front of a huge mansion. The girl walked towards the gates while the target stayed behind.

"Ashley?"

"I think I need to take a walk." The target replied.

There was tension in the air as the girl stares at the target.

"Okay, but be quick. " The girl stated before turning away.

Great, no more interference.

As I quietly stalked her, thoughts that were never there before came flooding into my mind. I began to doubt how she could possibly hurt Lydia when she's just a human girl.

[Ashley's Pov]

"Why is this happening to me?" I muttered to myself and sighed.

When I slowed down, someone grabbed my shoulder suddenly and I swing my handbag in defence. He caught my handbag effortlessly. I was going to put up a fight until I see his face. He had brown hair and beautiful grey eyes. I stared at him for god knows how long and scolded myself internally for gawking.

I realised he was staring too until pure shock registered on his face.

"Sorry, I mistook you for a friend." He replied.

"Oh," I exclaimed. "It's alright!"

I began to walk away before I embarrassed myself any further.

[Christ's Pov]

When she finally slowed down, I advanced towards her and grabbed her shoulder. She was startled and swung her handbag defensively. I caught it easily. Did she think she could defeat a werewolf with her handbag?

When she looks at me, I found myself staring into her eyes.

"Mate!" My wolf exclaimed.

This wasn't how I had planned to meet my soulmate.

"Sorry, I mistook you for a friend!" I lied.

"Oh. It's alright!" She replied.

When she smiles, I thought my heart had stopped beating.

"I can't kill her."

I watched in silence as she disappeared down the streets.

"Something is wrong. Lydia is hiding something from me and I need to protect my mate."
