[Ashley's Pov]

I took Christ's offer to send me home. After our argument, I didn't think Jase would want to talk to me for a while.

When I got home, I went straight to my room and tried to sleep but I couldn't.

It was a long and restless night. I got out of bed to get ready for school. After I was dressed, I walked past Jase's door and realised it was still locked. I went down to get something to eat while wondering if she's ever going to come out.

To my relief, I heard the doorknob clicked. She makes her way into the kitchen and didn't even bother to look at me when I walked past her.

Well, I kinda deserve it.

I look at the time and tapped my feet impatiently.

*Honk*

I got up from my seat hastily and went out. I was not comfortable with the silent treatment and I don't intend to stay there any longer even if I deserved it.

"Hey." He greeted while leaning against his car.

I smile in return. "Hey."

"Have you talk to her?" He asked.

I sigh, "no, I haven't. She's giving me the silent treatment."

He nodded in understanding.

"Just give her some time." He stated.

"Yea," I replied.

Just as I said that, I tripped over a rock and Christ caught me before I fall. Our eyes met and we stood there staring at each other. I was captivated by his beautiful grey eyes that seem to sparkle every time I look into them.

"Are you alright?" He asked. "Stop tripping over everything."

He laughs.

"I'm fine." I blushed.

I pushed his hands away and walked towards the car.

When I turn back to look at him, I realised I must have hurt him when I pushed him away abruptly.

"I'm sorry," I said.

He smirks. "I like it when you worry about me."

I gasped. He was faking it.

"I don't!" I exclaimed.

I blushed and ran into the car.

[Jase's Pov]

I peeked through the curtains and saw Ashley talking to Christ. I scowled at the scene.

"So she's choosing him over me." I huffed in anger. I got out of the house and left for school.

As soon as I got out of the car, Lydia got off the bench and strolled towards me.

"What do you want?" I asked.

"Tell that friend of yours to stay away from Christ!" She demanded.

"I would gladly do that," I replied.

She was shocked. "What?"

"I would gladly tell her to stay away from Christ but I can't help you, your cousin brainwashed her," I repeated.

"I don't care! If you can't persuade her, I'm going to get rid of her myself!" She threatened.

"Ugh!" I groaned.

I stormed into the school compound and look for Christ. I caught a glimpse of brown hair and walked towards it. He was leaning against the pillar. I coughed to get his attention.
