Flashback to Jungkook while Jimin was in Hell
Jungkook saw Jimin's friend walking across the courtyard out of the music building. Jimin hadn't been in class and something gnawed in Jungkook's gut telling him it wasn't a good thing that the little siren demon was missing. He had felt oddly connected to him from the moment their eyes had met. It had almost been as if he'd chained himself to the smaller man in that one glance.
"Hey! You're friends with Jimin, right?" he called out once he was closer to the unknown friend, "He wasn't in class today so I wanted to make sure he was alright."
Jimin's friend gave Jungkook an odd look and gulped a bit. "I'll be honest, I don't actually know if he's alright. He had to go...home for an emergency."
"Oh, like...hell home?" Jungkook asked in a whisper.
The man blanched, his jaw dropping and eyes widening. "How did you...I don't know what you're talking about."
Before he could dash away from him, Jungkook gripped his bicep and pulled him to a secluded alcove of the nearest building. He looked the man dead in the eyes and let his own glow their angelic purple.
"Holy shit!" Jimin's friend gasped. "A fucking angel!"
"And you're a vampire. Now that that is out of the way, what's your name? And where's Jimin?"
"Ta-Taehyung. Kim Taehyung. How did Jimin manage to get mixed up with an angel? I can't believe his mystery man is a fucking angel! No wonder he couldn't lure you," he chuckled before coming to the sober realization, "Why are you looking for Jimin? Are you trying to hurt him because of what he is and what you are? He's not a true demon, you know. He's still got the human alive inside him. You can't kill him."
"I'm Jungkook...Wait...what?! He's...the human is still alive inside him?!" Jungkook released Taehyung's arm, completely stunned.
Taehyung cocked his head to the side and spared him a confused look, "You really didn't know? You couldn't feel it? You felt he was a siren and that I was a vampire, but you couldn't sense the human still buried inside him? You really were going to kill him, weren't you? I can't let you do that! He's my best friend! I may not have had a choice in becoming the demon I am, and Jimin did and he chose to be a demon, but that doesn't mean he couldn't still choose to break the bond too! He's still alive and he's not truly a demon until the human inside him dies! Lucifer desperately wants him to make that choice for some reason. The big boss always says he needs him. Says something about an old grudge. A weapon he didn't have before. I don't know what that means, but I do know it means that Jimin isn't his just yet so you can't kill him!"
"He...he can be saved then! He can turn the demon away!" Jungkook grinned his wide bunny grin and only made Taehyung more confused.
"Wait...you want to...save him? Are you...do you have some kind of feelings for him or something?"
Jungkook bit his lip, teeth catching on the golden ring punctured through it. "I don't know. I just know that I'm connected to him somehow. I know I have to help him. I feel like...maybe in a past life he's helped me and I owe him that much if nothing else. It's strange. I feel like I've known him my whole life."
Taehyung laughed and slapped Jungkook's shoulder. "Yeah, that is strange. Well, get over it lover boy, Jimin made a vow to never love another man again."
Now Jungkook was the one chuckling, "Ah, but I am no man, am I?"

Yoongi sat on Seokjin's couch waiting on Jungkook to arrive. The youngest archangel had prayed to his elder brother to seek his advice. Jungkook had always trusted Yoongi's judgement and he needed it now more than ever. If Jimin could be saved, he needed to do everything in his power to do it. The human inside the little demon deserved that much.
"You said this Jimin is a siren? And despite that Jungkook continues to associate himself with him? This isn't a good start."
Jin scrunched his face in concern as he explained the situation as he knew it to Yoongi. "It's just...if Jimin is connected to him in the ways he's described...Yoongi, Jimin could be Azrael. Jungkook's love was lost in his last life. He never passed into the veil after their final human lives together and Jungkook swore he'd never found Az during that life. He never came to collect Jungkook when he died. It's possible."
Yoongi shook his head with a frown. "If that's the case, Jimin was meant to be an angel and not a demon. If he's a demon, the human life inside him is dead. Demons take over the bodies of the dead. Bodies of the evil humans who chose in life to become demons before they were ever even dead. If he were really Azrael, the human inside him would've had to choose to allow the demon in and still live alongside him. It would essentially have to be a human, a demon, and an archangel all living in one body. That's so unlikely it's laughable. It's practically a cheesy joke. Namjoon would never allow it."
"Unless..." Jin and Yoongi met each other's gaze in horror. "Surely he isn't. Not after all this time. He...he wouldn't try it again?"
Yoongi grimaced. "If Jimin really is Azrael and his human life is still alive inside the demon, and Namjoon wants him by his side...then we're all fucked if Jungkook can't save him and get his love back. But Jin, you're prone to dramatics. This is very unlikely."
Jin frowned and waved Yoongi off. "Okay, but I did feel an angelic presence near Jimin. Maybe he was supposed to be an angel. That alone is a small battle we should at least try to win. If for Jungkook's odd attachment and nothing else."
Yoongi nodded, "Yes, okay. We'll tell Jungkook that Jimin was maybe meant to be an angel, but don't get him worked up with the stuff about Azrael because we have absolutely no evidence that it's true. Just...let the boy speak and see what's going on."
Jin and Yoongi agreed just in time for Jungkook to knock at Jin's door.

Seokjin waited until Jungkook had gone home before pouncing on Yoongi. "He can be saved? Should we tell Jungkook who Jimin is to him? Should we let him figure it out on his own?"
Yoongi shook his head. "No. It isn't our place to tell him. They'll have to discover it for themselves."
Jin protested in a rushed tone, "But Yoongi, if we tell him, he may understand the importance of what he needs to do. It may help him. It may give him a reason to fight harder to save the boy!"
Shaking his head, Yoongi whispered, "You saw him, Jinnie. He has motivation enough to fight for Jimin. Telling him now will only give him more to lose if he fails. If we tell him, it will only make him more desperate to put himself in danger for Jimin. We've already lost one archangel brother...I can't lose another."
"I know you're worried about Jungkook. I am too, but Yoongi, this is Azrael we're talking about here! Azrael is the archangel of death! If Namjoon manages to keep his soul..."
"I know! I know! I understand, I do. And if you recall, Jungkook wasn't the only one who loved Azrael. A warrior loves death more easily than a healer does, but he was not meant for me. Jungkook belongs with Azrael and I trust in their love enough to not interfere with that. Nothing I did could separate them, and nothing Namjoon will attempt will work either. They're bonded by fate and that's something that no lifetime or obstacle or meddling has ever been able to undo. Jimin and Jungkook would break their halos before they would ever be parted."
Jin sucked in a deep breath with closed eyes. "Alright. I'm trusting your judgement for now, Yoongi, but if Jungkook or Jimin seem to be in danger, I'm telling them everything."
Yoongi only nodded as he allowed a single tear to drip from his purple glowing eyes.
