"Don't do this, Joonie.  Trying to convert Jimin to your cause will only lead to your further downfall," Yoongi pleaded.  "Death is meant to be neutral.  It can't serve you or us."

"How much further can I fall, brother?  I'm literally in Hell.  You don't get much lower than that.  And with Death under the thumb of our littlest brother, it's hardly still neutral, wouldn't you say?  Why can't I have him on my side instead since we're going to play this game?  I have always found him to be the most attractive of the angels our father didn't create."

Yoongi squirmed uncomfortably on the park bench.  The crisp spring wind blew cherry blossoms into his disheveled hair.  He spared them a glance as he took in a deep breath.  He missed the times he used to sit in this very spot before the city sprouted up around it and the downed tree had become a sturdy, stone bench.  He missed a time when it was just the two closest brothers meeting to spend time together instead of two rivals vying for their father's top spot.

"Yoongi, if I can't have Jimin...I'll find the Angel of Life instead.  If you would really go to war for Death, then I'll find his counter and make them mine instead," Namjoon's expression turned from vengeful to desperate, "Can't you see?  I can't do this anymore!  I can't take it, Yoongi.  Hell is no vacation spot.  We were God's favorites and he cast me aside as if I meant nothing more to him than a failed experiment!  I was his number one.  His right hand and all because I had a different opinion than him, he tossed me away!  Are you so sure he wouldn't do the same to you, brother?"

Gritting his teeth, Yoongi turned sharp eyes to his fallen brother.  "Don't do that!  Don't twist the situation to suit yourself.  You didn't just disagree with father, Namjoon.  You tried to usurp him.  You tried to kill him!  That isn't the same thing as a simple disagreement, and if you truly think you can find the Angel of Life, your mind has gone sour.  No one has seen or heard from Life since father used them to create us and Adam and Eve.  God hid Life from everyone.  Even themselves.  What makes you so certain you could find them?"

"I'm probably the only one who remembers anything about him," Namjoon replied smugly, crossing his arms over his thick chest.

"Him?  So you do remember why father had to hide him in the first place?"

Namjoon pursed his lips for a moment.  "Of course I do.  I couldn't have very well gone against father without Life and Death on my side.  I may have been more attracted to Death, but Life was first attracted to me before he ever met Death.  I'll find him again, Yoongi, and I don't care which one I claim for myself, but I will have one or both of them.  Death is already nearly there.  If my suspicions are correct, Life won't be far behind."

He leaned forward across the bench, face inches from Yoongi's.  "And when I do, brother, we'll finish what we started all those centuries ago.  You may be top dog now, but you were always second best to me.  I'll make sure you remember it.  If you won't join me, and you continue to be father's little lap dog, you leave me no other choice."

Yoongi blinked and suddenly he sat on the bench alone.  Cherry blossom flowers danced in the air around him as he drew in a shaky breath.

"Fuck."
