Flames engulfed my body, and as I hit the cool marble floor, my temperature dropped until I could see my fingers turning blue from my hazy vision. In truth, I don't know how long this agony occurred, but each minute I was either in hellish fires or icy destruction and searing pain.

Eventually, I had a faint recollection of someone moving me, and jumbled yelling. Who helped me? Levy? Lisanna? Wendy? I wish I knew.

In the end, when I awoke I was in an oak panelled room and it was empty except for a large king sized bed upon which I was resting. Gripping my head, I threw the deep red covers back and sat up.

Stumbling, I went over to look in the mirror next to the bed. Jolting awake, I was shocked to see golden scales littered upon my body, much like a dragons.

Apart from that, I noticed that nothing was different about me. So why did it hurt so much to try that ring on? Looking down at my hand, I noted that the ring was a beautiful platinum, littered with topaz, sapphire and diamond.

I walked towards the large double doors, tugging them effortlessly open, and as I walked out of my room and walked aimlessly around the palace, I encountered a maid.

As soon as she saw me, she screamed her dark green hair shielding her chocolate brown eyes from my view. Startled, I reached out towards her, but she smacked my hand away, repulsed.

"Human! Filthy human! What are you doing here? This is the Kingdom of Dragons, not allowed to be contaminated by the likes of you!"

"Huh? I was bright here by Aqua, you know that massive blue dragon? The one who is apparently a Duchess?"

The maid gasped, "You speak so easily of her name? For her, I shall kill you myself! I may be a lesser dragon, but they are still easily a hundred times as powerful as a mere human like you!"

This girl seriously needed to relax.

After that train of thought, I flew back as a wave of green magic hit me. Looking down, my clothes were already tattered and rubble surrounded me. Then, another wave of magic hit me as the girl began to chant.

"I call upon the greatest spell to help me eradicate this impure being, Heart Leaf!"

I screamed, as hundreds of blades surrounded me, and thrusting out my hand, pure white light eradicated them easily. Shocked, I stared at my hand, noting how the scales from earlier had once again reappeared. The girl too, stared, but quickly regained her composure as she shouted another attack.

"Green Dragons Roar!"

"Light Barrier!"

As as flurry of green in a whirlpool motion was due to hit, another defense that I did not know I had was released as I attempted to protect myself. The maid was now apparently getting frustrated, as a scream tore from her legs and five other humans, or rather dragons in human form, appeared behind her.
