Later that night, Sasuke held Naruto in his arms as the two were trying to fall asleep. After the encounter with Fugaku, Naruto demanded that Sasuke tell Sakura the great news. With a smirk, Sasuke allowed Naruto to come with him.

The pinkette was not excited about the news, even trying to convince Sasuke that it was still a scam. Sasuke made sure she understood that tonight was her last night here before walking away, Naruto following behind with a smug smirk thrown over his shoulder.

Shortly after arriving to their room, there was a light knock on his bedroom door. The two looked at each other, wondering who it could be. "Come in." Sasuke called out.

Mikoto opened the door, giving her son a shy smile. "Sasuke, Naruto."

Sasuke sat up straight, moving to the edge of the bed to stand up when Mikoto raised up her hand,

"No need to stand up. I'm only here to apologize."

Sasuke raised an eyebrow in confusion. "Apologize?"

Naruto also looked confused but kept quiet, keeping his gaze on Mikoto.

Mikoto gave him a nod. "Yes. Your father was talking like he was suspicious ever since Itachi broke off his engagement. I brushed it off as him being upset. Had I know he would've retaliated like that, I would have done something." Tears started to pool in the corner of her eyes and she set her gaze down to the floor. "I never believed in anything your father said and even if I did know that you guys were demons," she glanced at the blonde. "You really brought something positive into my son's life, and it wouldn't have mattered to me."

"Mom,-"

There was a loud wailing sound and both Uchiha's looked at the blonde in bewilderment as he began to cry loudly.

"Naruto? What's wrong?" Sasuke quickly held the blonde in his arms at his side.

"It's just so sweet." Naruto managed to mutter out as he got his crying somewhat under control. He turned to look up at Mikoto, wiping his face as best as he could. "Thank you."

Sasuke shook his head with a light smirk before turning back to his mother and giving her a small smile as well. "Yeah, thank you."

Mikoto smiled at the two of them before giving a slight bow and making her way out of the room.

"I feel bad." Naruto frowned as the two once again got comfortable on the bed.

"What for?" Sasuke mindlessly began playing with the golden locks, threading his fingers through the strands.

"Well, she lost her husband. She's kind of alone now, you know?"

Sasuke let out a snort. "It was an arranged marriage. I don't even think they slept in the same bed once I turned five. I doubt she's too upset. At least about being alone."

Naruto blinked at him in shock before relaxing, snuggling closer to the raven. He let out a contented sigh. "You know, I really missed sleeping in this bed."

Sasuke let out a 'hn', causing Naruto to snicker.

"And I missed sleeping with you."

Sasuke tugged Naruto closer, causing the blonde to let out an 'oof'. The raven smirked before lightly kissing the top of his head. "I gotta admit I missed you too."

"Yeah, you better have." Naruto looked back up at him. He smiled at him. "I'm so happy you came around."

"It was all because of you." Sasuke paused before placing his hand on top of Naruto's stomach. "And this little one."

The blonde giggled as Sasuke began to rub his flat stomach. "There's nothing even there yet!"

Sasuke let out a chuckle. "Alright, let's go to bed. We have important stuff to do in the morning." He pulled the two of them down and pulled the covers over them.
