I woke up with not as bad of a headache as I had the day before. I knew where I was and I was able to remember the rush of yesterday and all the tests. I still wasn't able to remember so basic details like my brothers number or the name of the secretary at work. It was so foggy in my head. The one thing I'm so happy that I could remember was my boyfriends even though a lot of the details were blurry, I knew who they were.
Today I leave the hospital and they told me I'm moving in with them. A part of me wonders why I wasn't already living there but I don't know the details of any of the choices we had made in our relationship. It was frustrating that I kept questioning myself.
The drive to their place was long. They tucked me away in the back and the two of them rode up front. I could tell they were trying not to overwhelm me but I needed them close. I kept quiet though because I could tell they were both deep in thought.
When we pulled to a stop I audibly gasped. There was a closed gate that when they got to they pushed a button for them to open.
I don't think I've ever been to their home because I would have remembered the size of the place in front of me. I just know it.
"Have I ever been here before?" I asked dumbfounded. Dante chuckled.
"No baby girl, you never made it over." He exclaimed, his mood seeming to lighten as he climbed out of the car and opening the back door. He helped me out of the car and I stood in amazement looking up at the large white house.
I knew Andy was rich and most likely Parker and Dante being Partners we well off but it surprised me to see them in a home like...a family home. I turned slowly in a circle. This really was the type of place you see in movies. Not in real life.
"Come on, we can explore outside later." Dante said placing a hand gently on my lower back. His touch sent shivers up my spine. It was familiar and welcome. I leaned in closer to his body loving the warmth. I felt his hand slide over and tighten on my waist. We climbed the 3 small steps at the front door and entered. I audibly gasped at the foyer. There were two large staircases they led up to the second story and hallways they led to other rooms on the first floor.
