The police station was 30 minutes from our home and for the first ten we rode in silence. Parker insisted on driving claiming that I seemed too distracted. Which I was. The police called because they finally got the security cameras from the bank across from the store Kennedys credit card was used at a couple of hours before we found her. They needed us to take a look at it because someone was following her and they needed to see if we knew the person.

"I hope she talks to Dante." Parker said quietly breaking me out of my thoughts. I looked over at him puzzled.

"What do you mean?"

"She was awake when you were telling me about Dante. She's not very good at fake sleeping because she snores ever so slightly and when you were talking she wasn't snoring." He said tapping his fingers against the steering wheel.

"Damn I didn't mean for her to overhear." I said, another thing now added to the long list of shit I'm dealing with.

"It's good she did, she's a problem solver and she probably can get to him better than we can. He has a very soft spot for her whether he admits to it or not." He said. I smirked.

"Like he does for you." I said, he glanced at me and blushed.

"Yeah, I guess so." I could see a little bit of worry etched in his face. I placed my hand on his leg squeezing gently.

"You know, Dante holds in his feelings to balance my anger issues and your emotional ass." I said. He snorted.

"I know."

"He's not going to be able to do that with Kennedy. She's already broke down his walls. And it took us years to get past his firewall, it took her a few days." I told him.

I thought back to how Dante was in college.  I remember the first time I caught him admiring Parker at a party and how his jaw would clinch when other men or women touched him. He was possessive over Parker in a way I wasn't even possessive over the both of them. I remember when we had gotten drunk in our dorm room and fooled around and he got pissed off because he said he wasn't gay yet every opportunity he got he had his hands down my pants or was underneath me.

I remember when I invited Parker over one night after bumping into him at the gym and seeing how his eyes roamed over both Dante's and my sweaty bodies. That night we fucked Parker together and Dante never let another person touch him besides me and the occasional girlfriends we had shared. I remember how he disappeared on us for an entire summer our senior year after he told his parents he was in a relationship with us. He came from strong Italian conservative roots and they hadn't even thought twice about kicking him out. He spent the summer on the couch of his friends basement in NY before coming back to school. For years he didn't tell us what happened and always picked to come home with me for the holidays. My parents lived full time in Africa doing God knows what and Kyle and Maddie accepted Dante and Parker with unbiased and open arms.

We never had labels, never said we were boyfriends, never committed. Parker and Dante went to the same law school two hours away from me while I worked on my PHD and Kyle and I had started investing our trust fund money into restaurants. I used to get phone calls from Parker about how Dante didn't acknowledge that they were a couple in public but was always trying to fuck him in private. He threatened to walk away from him because he couldn't handle the feeling of being just a piece of ass Dante could hit when he felt like being "gay."

I drove up countless times to fix things between them but it wasn't until Parker actually walked away that Dante flipped out. Parker had gone abroad to visit family and Dante followed, they came back together and have been together ever since. From that time on Parker never threatened to leave.

"You know, thanksgiving is in a few days and she was supposed to go to see her brother." Parker said pulling me out of my thoughts once again.

"And we still can't find a way to contact him which is weird. They should be able to have found him." I said, Parker grunted in agreement as he pulled into the police stations parking lot. We climbed out of the suv and headed inside where we were given visitors passes and taken to a conference room.

"Mr. Davis. Thank you for coming in." A stocky man greeted as he came into the room. "I'm Detective Johnson, I've been handling the case." I shook his hand and introduced Parker.

For the first 10 minutes they showed us different videos they had tracked Kennedy from inside the grocery store until a few blocks for the apartment. We couldn't make out Weldon but she was being followed.

"We were able to uncover some missing property. A cell phone, and laptop. We were able to locate the phones last location before it was shut off and it took us to the home of a Weldon Jenkins. We were able to get a warrant and search his house. Asides from the stolen property there was no other evidence linking him however there is a warrant out for his arrest since he seems to be hiding. He hasn't been back to his house since we uncovered this." Detective Johnson said. I glanced at Parker to see he had paled while the detective was talking. I took his hand and squeezed.

"We have a restraining order against him. He used to work for me and we fired him after he assaulted my partner." I told him gesturing to Parker. The man looked between us in momentary shock. I think more so at the news we were together than the restraining order.

"I'm sorry to hear that, we will keep a squad car parked outside Ms. Payton's apartment and when she is at the office until we find him." He said getting himself together.

"No need. Ms. Payton will be staying with us and we have security guards and cameras. We also have a team of security at the office who has been informed of the situation and will notify you if any sightings of Jenkins. Ms. Payton won't be back to the office until after the holidays." I told him. He nodded slowly.

"Any idea why this man supposedly attacked her and vandalized her apartment?" He asked.

"She filled his empty role." Parker said, I could tell he wanted to say more but we valued our privacy. Me being gay was one thing. My being gay in a polyamorous relationship would never give us any privacy. The detective nodded.

"Well if you can think of anything else it would be helpful. We'll keep y'all informed. How's Ms. Payton doing?" He asked.

"She's home and resting. Slowing getting back some memories." Parker said. The detective nodded.

"If she remembers anything here is my personal number. She can call or come into the station." He handed a business card, said his goodbye and the meeting was over.

"What a waste." Parker murmured grabbing her briefcase and phone. "At least he didn't ruin her bag you got her."

I turned to him and watched him carefully.

"We'll catch him babe. And no one will get to either of you again. I promise." I said softly standing up to stand next to him. He looked up at me and smiled softly almost in a pained way.

"I don't want him caught. I want him gone."
