Screams of agony could be heard all over the village. Nillendil sat on the porch outside of his home, with his head leaned against his hands in worry.

His wife, Mírrel, was inside their home giving birth to their child, her screams brought pain to his heart. He had never heard such painful screams, let alone from his wife.

Elveo sat beside him trying to comfort his friend that everything would be fine.

"She is strong, Nillendil. Do not worry" How could he not. His wife was in there all alone with the other maidens, while he was out here.

Nillendil let out a nervous and stressful breath, his leg shaking from anxiety.

"I shouldn't be out here" He suddenly stood up, Elveo following him, blocking him from entering "She needs me, Elveo"

"You will only distract them, Nillendil. Trust them, she will be alright and your child too" Elveo grabbed his shoulders in reassurance. Nillendil hesitated but noded nonetheless, trusting his friend.

The screaming slowed down to silence followed by a beautiful cry, Nillendil had been dying to hear for the past few months. Serephina came out of the door, with a smile on her face as a wiped her hands with a cloth, the other Elleth as which helped with the birth leaving the house. Nillendil walked up to her, with a frown.

"It is a girl, and Mírrel is healing but she will need some rest" a smile broke into his face as he let out a sigh of relief, closing his eyes thanking Eru.

"Can I see her?" Serephina gave him a nod. Nillendil did not waste a second as he quickly walked inside the house, to the bed where his wife cradling his child in her arms. He knelt by the bed with happy tears falling down his cheeks. Mírrel looked at her lover, her tired eyes looking at him with adoration.

"Meet your daughter, My Love" Mírrel positioned herself so Nillendil could see their daughter. She was so small. Nillendil slowly extended his arms towards his wife.

"May I ?" Mírrel let out a small laugh.

"You do not need to ask"

"You're the mother, My Mírrel" Nillendil said with a smile as he watched his wife slowly place their child in his arms. Nillendil instantly but carefully cradled the little bundle in his arms looking down at her with adoration. The little bundle of joy fussed a little before opening her eyes looking up at her father.
