The forest echoed with the sound of laughter as Sylvia's bare feet crunched the fallen leaves. The bushes rustled with each swift movement as she darted past. Her elegant wood-coloured dress cascaded behind her, with a gracefully placed slit allowing her leg to move freely and gracefully. The strapless design accentuated her neckline and shoulders, enhancing her overall look with a touch of sophistication and grace.

"You can't catch me!" She smiled laughing softly, hiding behind a tree.

The forest had been a nurturing home for her for many years, sheltering her deep within its heart where she thrived alongside the woodland creatures. Their secluded haven shielded them from the sinister shadows that plagued the kingdom of Moors after the King and Queen's passing. The once-protective creatures of the forest now roamed wildly, their minds besieged by an ominous curse.

Amid the encroaching Darkness, a portion of the forest managed to fend it off, preserving a sanctuary for the small Creatures to thrive in peace. This secluded haven also became the nurturing home for Sylvia, who was lovingly raised under the protective embrace of the forest.

With her heart pounding in her chest, Sylvia cautiously peered out from behind the old oak tree, her amber eyes fixed on Balthazar, the formidable guardian of the Forest and the only surviving Spriggan. Her breath came in short, tense gasps as she scanned her surroundings for any sign of his presence. Suddenly, she felt a sharp poke on her shoulder, causing her to let out a startled scream.

"You scared me!" The towering, tree-like creature emits a deep, rumbling sound that resembles an amused laugh.

"You cheated!" He let out a shocked sound, sounding like a grumble pointing at himself. "You can blend in with the forest!"

Balthazar talked on his tongue, it sounded gibberish but she understood. "Mhmm...and I could have taken to the skies. Still, you cheated."
Balthazar grumbled, making her laugh.

"Let's go back!" As he crouched down, he carefully positioned her on his shoulder, making sure she had a secure grip by holding onto the barks on his head. With steady steps, he made his way along the trail back to the place where they felt safest. Meanwhile, she took in the surroundings, her mind filled with wonder and curiosity.

"Why am I never allowed to leave the forest, Balthazar?" halting in his steps, he craned his neck to the side. His hollow eyes looked at her.
"Too Dangerous"

"Danger from what exactly?"
Letting out a hum that vibrated through his bark-like chest, he turned his direction and started to walk the opposite way. "Where are we going?"
