Chapter 10

Gold fell to the ground when The Sisters stopped holding her, Gold looked up to find The Sisters watching them anxiously. The fauna began to walk towards them with a threatening expression, Gold then avoided the eyes of the leader of The Sisters.
"What happened?" Fauna asked, still no emotion in her voice.
"The intruder was in contact with our ancestors." Clio growled, glare at Gold furiously. Gold wanted to explain to them that she didn't want to do it for bad intentions, she was close to discovering the truth, but then she had to wake up. If I only found out, I would try to help them! Gold cried out in her mind. Suddenly Shiver walked into the camp with Roxanne and Ash, the girls looked confused when they noticed Gold lying on the ground. Roxanne ran up to them first.
"Gold, what's going on?" Roxanne asked quickly.
"Your friend contacted our ancestors." Clio growled again. Roxanne was shocked, then she looked at Gold.
"How it's possible?" Gold heard Roxanne's shocked voice. Clio forced Gold to stand up, Gold felt like she was about to burn with shame.
"Please let me ...”
Clio interrupted Gold.
"You will be punished, nothing can justify you now!" Clio growled at Gold. Roxanne pushed her way between Clio and Gold, is Roxanne going to protect her?
"If she did, she wasn't going to hurt The Sisters." Roxanne muttered. Gold agreed with Roxanne, just wanted to find out why The Sisters hate her like Roxanne.
"Intruders always bring bad signs." Clio said.
Fauna looked only at Gold, Gold felt uncomfortable looking Fauna in the eye. She already imagined how she would be punished by the leader of The Sisters. She was surprised when Fauna asked her, "How did you get into the world of our ancestors?"
"Thanks to the singing of Clio and Tara." Gold replied, then stopped looking at Fauna.
"What or who did you see in your dream?" Fauna asked softly. Gold said that she ended up in the world of Void, lied that she was saved by a ghost she did not know, then the spirit world disappeared from her eyes. They can't know why I was there or they'll never trust us. Gold thought seriously.
"What are we going to do now, sister?" Clio asked menacingly to Fauna. Fauna was silent for a moment, as if thinking.
"She cannot be punished, it is definitely a sign that it was Gold who contacted the ghosts." Shiver suddenly said. Fauna ignored Shiver, however, a moment later she looked at Gold seriously.
"Can you describe the appearance of the ghost that saved you?" Fauna asked. Gold shuddered, she began to think quickly about what to say to her. She knew very well that Cristie had saved her, but she had to invent a ghost.
"I ... don't remember very well." Gold said in a tired voice, she added, "He was all white, transparent and shining in the moonlight.”
Roxanne and Ash exchanged scared glances while Fauna stared only at Gold. Gold couldn't read Fauna's thoughts, does she believe her? Or maybe she doesn't believe, but wonders what she is saying? Please, believe me! Gold cried out in her mind.
"Please forgive her." Shiver pleaded as she stepped closer to Fauna. Gold suddenly noticed Whiteflower from a distance, standing next to Hermione with a serious expression, the expression on Whiteflower's face was telling her something. Did he know what I was about to do? Gold asked herself.
"The Sisters trust you, Gold." Fauna began to saying, "but I have no choice but to imprison you in the Starkratus cave.”
Gold swallowed, she had no idea about this cave, although she felt fear and had a lot of thoughts about this cave.
"O...okay, if I did something wrong, forgive me." Gold muttered. Fauna didn't answered, she cast a steady glance at Shiver, Clio, and Tara.
“You're going to take her there now. She'll be able to leave the cave at dawn, go ahead. " Fauna ordered, then she headed towards her large house. As Gold was surrounded by three sisters, Roxanne stopped them with a desperate gaze.
"May I go with you?" Roxanne asked. Clio nodded, then started leading this “patrol”. Roxanne was walking beside Gold, her expression worried. She's worried where they'll lock me up. Gold realized.
"Don't be afraid, I'll try to survive this night." Gold whispered to Roxanne.
"I wanted to know how you got in touch with the ghosts and why it's so wrong." Roxanne replied. Shiver moved closer to Gold as if to join their conversation.
"This is wrong because she has probably seen our ancestors with their eyes." Shiver whispered impatiently. Gold dreamed of clogging her ears, she did not ask to get into the world of the dead, but it was still useful, she only learned that spirits cannot guard their family here, only they can in the world of spirits.
"I didn't do it on purpose," Gold said suddenly, interrupting the conversation between Roxanne and Shiver. "I fell asleep because of Clio and Tara's singing, I don't know why, I didn't feel sleepy before."
"Our singing makes us fall asleep, and then we end up in the world of the dead to ask our ancestors for advice." Shiver explained.
I wish you had told me about this earlier when we were meeting. Gold thought furiously. Gold felt helpless, she dreamed of meeting Cristie again to find out the truth and fix it.
"Is it only the singing of The Sisters can find ourselves in the spirit world?" Gold asked curiously.
“I think so, we also used our singing to summon a given spirit, but ... since ... since something terrible happened, none of us can catch the spirit into our world anymore." Shiver answered.
It's because of the spell Cristie mentioned. Gold thought. She wondered how it would be possible to destroy the spell that had trapped all the spirits in the world of the dead. Does such a spell exist? She dreamed of finding out. Everything seems broken, does this spell know Foxy? Gold asked herself.
"What happened a long time ago?" Roxanne asked softly. Shiver lowered her head, stopping looking at both of them.
"I can't tell you, The Sisters are treating you like enemies, so I have to too." She mumbled quickly.
Gold looked at Roxanne, who looked worried.
"Fauna does not treat us as enemies." Roxanne said. "Maybe we'll find out from her."
"I have no idea." Gold whispered to Roxanne. She suddenly thought about talking to Fauna, but she couldn't think if it was a good idea. Suddenly Clio stopped, Gold pushed forward, she noticed a cave that looked like a bear's hole but appeared to be long.
"Why does Fauna wants to imprison me here?" Gold asked quickly.
"It is a place of shame for us." Shiver replied. Gold looked at Roxanne one last time, she didn't want to leave her friend now, but she knows she has to show that she respects The Sisters and their rules.
"See you tomorrow, take care of the rest." Gold said. Roxanne hugged Gold.
"Take care of yourself, good night." Roxanne said, then she stopped hugging Gold and disappeared into the woods. Gold smiled, she entered the cave and sat up looking straight ahead. Clio, Tara and Shiver guarded Gold like a prisoner, Gold sighed in embarrassment, thinking that this night will be hard.
Gold woke up at The Sisters camp, she quickly got up, and looked around confusedly. Did… did they take me back to the camp? Gold asked in her mind. Gold looked up at the sky, the sun was at the top of the sky, had she been sleeping all night and morning? When she noticed Clio, Gold hesitantly started walking towards her, she was about to say something to her when suddenly Clio passed through her as if through a ghost. Gold froze, realized it was a dream, but what could it mean? She also noticed that The Sisters seemed more smiling and friendly here, Gold ran towards Fauna and Gestra, which tinkered with the herbs.
"What a nice day, am I right?" Gestra asked Fauna.
"Yes, Gestra." Fauna agreed. Gold decided to eavesdrop on both of them, maybe then she'll find out if Foxy made The Sisters seem hostile. The two wizards were looking friendly.
"Do you think we can gather all the herbs in one day?" Fauna asked. Gestra looked uncertain, but then she nodded.
"I'm sure that thanks to so many volunteers, we will get it even in a few hours." She answered.
Gold listened impatiently to Gestra and Fauna, but she was curious about the word "volunteers", are there any "intruders" in the camp? Gold tried to find an unknown figure in the camp, but she only saw Clio in the camp that guarded the entrance to the forest. Suddenly Shiver walked into the camp with a worried expression, Gold noticed that Shiver looked like a apprentice at that time. When Shiver noticed Fauna and Gestra, she began walking rapidly towards them. Gold wondered what Shiver was doing here.
"Is Cristie around somewhere?" Shiver asked anxiously. Gold was surprised, Cristie is alive? Does her dream show the past? Gold gets excited, she has a chance to find out everything.
"She went out with Foxy to collect the herbs." Fauna answered. Gold shuddered, her thoughts were true, Foxy had something to do with it, but why did he come to The Sisters camp? I have to find them! Gold screamed out in her mind. She started running towards the magic pool, but she couldn't see them anywhere. Suddenly, she remembered what Keira had told her about one piece of territory, she started running there as fast as possible. When she was close to this forest, she noticed two tall figures from a distance, Gold felt relieved, she calmly walked towards them with a serious expression on her face. She felt that she was close to knowing the truth of what was happening here.
"We have to collect the wiry fern, you know how that herb looks like?" Gold heard Cristie. As a result, Gold moved faster and caught up with them, Foxy stared straight ahead with an emotionless expression on his face.
"Yes, I know." Foxy replied softly.
Gold looked hostile at Foxy, she couldn't believe her eyes that he was pretending to be a nice guy. Cristie drove around looking around, Gold dreamed of being visible and telling Cristie the truth how Foxy really is. Gold thought Foxy was hiding something in his jacket pocket, was it a knife? Gold watched Foxy closely. Cristie went faster, already seeing ferns taller than normal ferns. Gold looked at the fern standing next to Cristie, they were long, black and green. I wonder what they are for. Gold thought.
"I’ll gather them up and we go back to the camp, okay?" Cristie said without turning. Gold turned to Foxy, she saw Foxy was looking at her as an enemy. While Cristie was busy picking herbs, Foxy looked as if he was hesitating over a decision to make. Gold was worried, she realized that something was wrong. What is he going to do? Gold asked herself. Foxy looked around, making sure no one was watching them. Gold looked at Cristie, the wizard had a smile on her face and she was picking up the ferns delicately, paying no attention to Foxy. When Foxy stopped looking around, he took a sharp knife from his pocket. Gold froze in fear, she wanted to touch Cristie but her hand went through her body.
“Cristie! Turn around!" Gold yelled. Cristie didn't seem to hear her though, Gold looked towards Foxy who was slowly starting to walk towards Cristie. No! He can't do that! Gold screamed in her mind. Gold stood up for Cristie, but Foxy walked through her with a emotionless experssion. Gold turned to face them, she was doing nothing but watching. Once Foxy was close enough to Cristie, he looked at his sharp tool and attacked Cristie. The whole world spun as Foxy caught Cristie, everything turned black, like the Void world. After a while, Gold heard various voices, including Cristie's painful screams. She could hear voices belonging to Foxy or The Sisters, Gold was trying to understand, but there were too many conversations.
"You lied to me!"
"He is different."
"Leave us alone!"
"Now live in pain as you were supposed to live before."
Gold looked around here and there as the screams vanished into the abyss, she noticed Cristie not far in front of her with her throat slit, her eyes was closed and she was standing in front of Gold. Blood dripped drastically from Cristie's neck, Gold began to slowly walk towards her when she was about to say something, Cristie opened her eyes, death was visible in her eyes.
Gold woke up panting with terror, noticing that it was morning. Gold covered her face with her hands, she just found out under what circumstances Cristie died. I can't hide it anymore, I need to know why Foxy was here! Gold thought. Gold shook her head, she thought she could still hear Cristie's screams. Suddenly Shiver came up to her, grabbing Gold by the arm.
“Gold, what happened? You're shaking, come on, we can go back to the camp now. " Shiver muttered. Gold pushed Shiver's hand away, then stood up. She started running as fast as possible, without waiting for Clio or Shiver, Gold heard the three sisters calling her name, but she ignored it. She now she has a task to do, she have to complete it as quickly as possible. Now she knew why the territory where she was with Keira is not checked, because Cristie died there. Gold quickly entered the camp panting with exhaustion, she could feel her heartbeat. Gold looked up, she noticed that Roxanne and Dark were looking at her in confusion, Fauna with Gestra was sitting on the stone. Gold quickly moved towards them, hoping that this time Fauna would tell her everything.
"What have you done?" Gold asked menacingly. Gestra glared at Gold furiously, Fauna was still as calm as ever.
"What do you mean?" Gestra growled.
"Why did you allow Foxy to be in the camp?!" Gold asked sharply. Gold could already feel Roxanne, Dark and the rest of her group behind her.
“What are you talking about, Gold? Please, calm down. " Ella said quickly. Gold ignored Ella, rage aroused in her mind, but so was fear. Gestra was surprised to hear that name.
“How…. How could you? Cristie died because of him! " Gold thundered.
"We don't know what you're talking about, Gold." Fauna muttered grimly. Gold snarled under her breath. They think I don't know anything? Gold asked herself.
“Don't try to lie to our living eyes, why did you do it? Why was Foxy in your camp? Why did he kill Cristie? We deserve answers! " Gold yelled quickly. Ella grabbed Gold's hand as she tried to calm Gold down. Gold was still breathing anxiously, unable to control herself. Suddenly, three sisters came who were looking for Gold. Shiver was terrified along with Tara, only Clio was indignant.
"Foxy was at your camp?" Roxanne asked, shocked. "But why?”
Fauna looked at Gestra who was furious with what was happening now.
"The Sisters knew that someday this day would come to tell someone the truth." Fauna muttered, lowering her head.
Gold was desperately watching Gester and Fauna.
"What happened that you decided to trust him?" Gold asked softly. Fauna descended from the boulder, she looked at Hermione and Clarice who were watching anxiously.
"Sisters, guard the door to my house," Fauna told Hermione and Clarice, then she looked at Gold and her group. "It's time to tell you everything."
