She stood on the outside of the designated infirmary tent. Scanning for a certain brown hair and brown eyes individual. Her attention focused solely on finding him. He was nowhere to be seen. She usually would find an excuse to leave mid-training just so she could witness the man in action as he taped little children's cuts and sightly broken limps. There was never any real danger in the camp so the idea of a doctor was almost laughable. But she would admit she loved watching Xavier work, that precious bright smile on his face as he patched up little ones.

Jolting her out of a daydream a tight arm gipped pulling her backward several feet. Bright red marks circled around her forearm from the assault.

"What the hell?" Rose yelled pushing her free arm against the tough chest of her attacker.

Rose's eyes found Christian holding a finger between his lips. He dragged her between the space of the tent. He gripped her arm until they stood behind the tents away from the public eye.

"What is your problem?" Rose kept her voice leveled.

"Be quiet." He placed another hand on her other arm. The same urgent tightness in his hold. She could easily escape, but the concern lingering in his eyes made her what to know what was hiding in his thoughts. "We don't have much time. It is almost time to go." Concern grew with each word. His head twisted making sure no one could hear him. Xavier's brother was paranoid. About David? Who else could he be afraid of?

"To kill some aliens? Sounds like a fun time." Rose smiled back at him. Thrilled at the thought ending a couple of alien lives. Honestly it sounds like the most fun she had since coming to this dreadful camp.

"Shut up." Christian growled. His hands tightened. Rose clutched her teeth holding back her fighting instincts to murder the man laying hands on her. She shoved down previous memories. Now was not the time for her trama to say hello. "I am trying to help you."
"Help me with what?"

Static interrupted the words Christian was about to speak. He cursed under his breath before speaking into the device. A walkie-talkie. The same that was always on David's chest.

"We are leaving. Do you have Rose?" Christian looked at me. A fire still behind his eyes.

"Yes. On our way." He shoved the walkie talkie in his pocket. Glaring at her like she was the reason for the interruption.

"Please be careful." He gritted each individual word. He was showing odd concern for her. He acted like he cared if something happened to her. That can't be true can it? He spent the first week hating her for being strong, doubting the fact she was able to survive on your own when they needed a wall to protect them. Rose really wished there was time to hear Christian's warning now. It was twice now he got interrupted. He rushed her out, whatever he wanted to tell her moments ago was clearly never going to leave his mouth. He directed her to follow him leading to the gate. Rose could tell the truck was already packed, ready to go. The sun was now hidden behind the houses, darknesses slowly overtaking. A dread hit her stomach. She never got the chance to see Xavier. It would have to wait.
