Rose picked the highest point on the hill, which overlooks the lost destructed city. Buildings collapsed on each other. Dust scattered everywhere. Rumble remains where the fire started at the aliens invasion. Rose sat peering over the lost city, the sun setting a powerful sight slowly being swallowed by the incoming darkness. Rose knew most people would see this view as a beautiful sight everyone is grateful to see, but all she could see is the moon overtaking the sun. The bright orange burning sun may be bright but darkness would always return. Damn, Astronomic.

Rose dropped her band of knives that banded her waist. Ditched her favorable silver blade in a hollow tree, likely for a random scavenger to come along and take for their own. She was going into the alien's den. She didn't know where they would take Christian, she didn't have the time to track. She needed David and his army. Needed their resources. She had none, and she couldn't run into every aliens camp. No matter the hot burning desire in her blood. Christian's life was too important. She wasn't sure why? She told herself over and over she could never rely on another human being, especially after Xavier. She couldn't bare to think of him. The weak tears she shredded, because she could feel the same weak heavy heart. If she stopped for a single moment she feared she would never stop weeping. If Rose was honest with herself, she never anticipated the betrayal from Xavier. He was the sun to her moon. The overwhelming light to her darkness. He saw the world for its beauty, a reason to still feel joy. He had everything. The aliens didn't take away his family, the aliens gifted him with more people to surround him while the aliens took everything from Rose. She allowed one tear to fall down her cheek, before wiping it away and locking away her feelings. Deep, deep down. She returned to the cold emotionless person she has grown to pretending.

The sun was overlaying the moon, preparing for the transformation when Rose heard sharp breaks of tree branches, and the crutches of leaves. With perfect accuracy she threw the remaining dagger in her hand.

"You have to try harder to take my head off, Princess." It was been days since she saw his face. She didn't even try to hide her tracks. Her conscious movements hoping it was a different boy with brown hair and soft features. A boy who had the perfect sunshine smile. Another reason why Rose knew she needed to lock down her fragile feelings. It was a weakness. Xavier was no better than anyone she has ever met. Everyone is capable of betrayal. Tyler on the other hand, never pretended to be something he wasn't. She didn't have to attempt to hide her feelings, she already hated the strange boy that seemed to find any excuse to find her.

"The next one won't be a warning shot." She didn't even turn around. He didn't calucate as a threat, just an annoyance. She starred at the remaining sun-rays, measuring on the variables for her next mission. Mentally preparing her body and soul.

Neither spoke. Neither moved. It was Tyler who moved the first muscle, easing himself next to her. She could feel the heat of his eyes locked on hers. "Looks like I am going to have to rebandage that wound for you." Rose found his dark brown eyes, a snarl on his face. Her wound seeming to cause him more pain than her. She didn't have time for this.

"No bother. I am getting more injuries where I am headed." She stayed kneeling with leg on the ground. Kneeled at the edge of the cliff. She Dropped her remaining dagger on the ground. Her knifes scattered across the endless leaves and dirt. The world seemed to darken in answer. The moon fully engulfing the world.

"Please I have seen you fight." Tyler scoffed. "No human or Alien could ever kill you. You look like a pretty princess but fight like a pretty bloody warrior." Tyler laughed at his own dumb joke. His eyes finding hers again, where the truth was shown on her face. His features stiffened at the realization.

"No!" Tyler stood. "What the hell Rose?"

Rose stood up with him, she peered up because the annoying boy was of course an inch taller than her. "Tyler, I appreciate you coming, but you will not stop me." She only smiled, there was no need to threaten him. She was heading into danger, the one time a person may interfere if  someone cared for someone else, but Rose didn't have anyone left. No one would attempt to rescue her. She was alone. Again.

"You are going to let the Aliens take you?" Tyler shook his head like he was trying to wrap his head around her insane idea. He rubbed his head through his hair. Rose only nodded. Not a single expression flickered on her face. Emotionless. "They could try to kill you instead!" Tyler gripped her shoulders, both hands tightly braced on her.

"I will take the risks." She removed his hands in one swift motion, purposely bumping into his shoulder as she was preparing to take off into the night. Her feet edged over the hill.

"Why? To save Xavier's idiotic brother!" Tyler started. "Those people don't deserve you risking your life to save one of their own!" He snarled after her. Anger rising in his skin. Rose knew the feeling well.

"I am doing this for myself. I need to save him and then they can all burn in hell." Rose spoke over her shoulder. A lethal calm and then she took off, jumping, sliding down the dirt hill. Not a single weapon on her. She needed to pretend to be a weak girl. Someone in despite need to be saved. The girl she was on the front porch when her dad left her as a sacrifice behind the glass door. Even Tyler didn't dare follow her this time. Good. Good. If this insane plan went horribly wrong than only one more person would have to die. Rose reveled in the fact no one would care. A loss life with no mournings.
