The sun was shining high above in the sky. Rose walked passed several people giving her look of demise. They did not like anything that Rose stood for. Their quiet little town was beginning to become interesting and they hated every second of it.

Ripping out of her thoughts she heard the loud clash of chains opening the main gate. Men in green army uniforms were moving back and forth between the black truck, placing weapons in the back. They were planning something. Rose peered at the leader who was leaning over a brown plastic table peering over at a thin piece of paper.

"What is going on?" Rose got a closer look at the soldiers apart of his army. They were around Xavier's brother's age. She guessed around 17 or 19 years old.

David quickly flipped the paper over. Rose got a glance at the mysterious paper it looked like a sort of map. Whatever it was he didn't want Rose to see. His face burned red with the flesh of anger Rose was getting accustomed to.

"Nothing to worry your pretty little head about."

The men stopped doing their task, eavesdropping on their leaders conversation. Whenever they were in conversation the air always seemed to be tense. David tried to ignore her by walking over to the truck, double checking the weapons.

"You are going after the aliens."

A deep sigh erupted from the leader. No matter what Rose did, everything seemed to get under his skin. She enjoyed every second of it.

"How do you think this place continues to exist? We need to acquire supplies."

He said without glancing a single look at her. It seemed like he was trying to act neutral, trying his best from letting another heated argument erupt.

Disappointing she thought, the lack of action was making her ancy.

"Sounds Boring."

Rose gripped the edge of the truck with one hand and threw her entire body over landing inside the truck.

David clenched the side of the truck his hands turning white.

"What do you think you are doing?" David was no longer able to keep his cool tone, he growled at her.

"I am coming with you,"

"I thought it was too boring for you." David quoted her taking a deep breath.
"It is. But you are gonna need someone who can handle trouble if aliens do invade your boring supply run." She teased him, watching the fury rise further in his chest. She relaxed her back against the truck, picking up a petite black pistol. Terrible memories threatened to resurface with a touch of the weapon against her fingertips.

"She is right. Plus our men aren't trained enough. The second they see a crawler I bet they will take off running." A familiar voice approached interjecting between Rose and David. She turned in the direction of the voice. He was tall, Muscular, and had handsome brown eyes with clean brown hair. It was Christian.

"Crawlers?" David glared at Xavier's brother. His anger is still on display.

"I heard Rose call them that. She killed one, I figured she can name them." Christian made eye contact with her. She was expecting a glare but there was no anger behind his eyes. It was strange. Based on their last interaction he wanted nothing to do her with.

Realization hit that there was only one time she told people about her basic name for the creatures. He was there watching while Rose was talking with Xavier's friends. Rose hated the feeling of someone keeping their eyes on her, it made her want to reach for the tiny blade she kept hidden with her.

David exhaled dramatically, releasing his grip on the truck. He groaned rubbing his hands across his face.

"Fine. She can come, but you are in charge of making sure she doesn't kill herself." He pointed an aggressive finger at Christian. A threatened gesture.
