Xavier ran his hands through his hair feeling groggy after just emerging out of his bed without the presence of Rose. He didn't want to think about the amount of times he wanted to place a kiss on her cheek, seeing the peaceful side of her. Her beauty and bravery was unmatched.

Xavier approached the end of of the staircase, rubbing his eyes again and again making sure he wasn't still dreaming. Rose was sitting next to his brother willingly at the plastic brown table designated as their eating area. The last time they were at this table they looked like they wanted to kill each other. Christian was acting as his protective older brother and Rose was the fearless person she had always been since he met her.

They broke their conversation sensing his presence. Xavier felt like his breathe was taking out of his lungs seeing that beautiful crest of Rose's lips curve upwards, relieving a tiny smile reserved just for him.

"Good you are awake."

Xavier walked closer waiting for everything around him to become fuzzy dragging him out of his dream. "What is going on?"

"I wanted to make sure Rose got a good breakfast before I take her to training." Christian sat before bites of oatmeal. He said it as though it was a normal thing.

"Didn't Rose kick your ass last time?" Xavier spotted the tinest of chuckle hidden under Rose's sleeve. The smile still on her face.
"When your done meet me outside Rose." Anger rose on his brother's features. Rarely did Xavier ever tease his brother, but he hated to admit it but he enjoyed his brother getting flustered.

Loud stomps of his brother's black boots hitting the floor dissapeared through the front door leaving only him and Rose. If only this moment could last forever.

"Later David wants me to attend another of his supply runs." Rose walked up Xavier. Each step she took toward him felt like she was stealing a extra breath from him. The closeness. He knew he did a terrible job of hiding his rosy cheeks.

"Should I be worried you seem to be spending a lot of time with my brother?" Xavier smirked. It seemed this morning he enjoying teasing.

Rose responded by placing her arms around his shoulder. The distance between them disappearing by the second. Xavier felt like he could cripple to the floor. The feeling in his chest wanted him to ignore all of his responsibilities. He wanted to forget the world. Hold Rose tight to his chest and show her just how much he cares about the stranger who entered his life by chance.

"There isn't a single person you should be worried about Xavier." He loved the sound of his name on her lips. He gently pressed his figure between her long dark thin hair that reached down her side almost hitting her hips.

She looked into her eyes and then with one swift motion she left for the door.

He stood there in the middle of the kitchen with a stupid grin on his face. Practically skipping up to his bedroom preparing for his day at the infirmary imaging the beautiful smile of Rose. That smile that she seemed only to give to him. He loved it, he never wanted whatever they had to ever change. She was his knight. Fearless, brave, and adventurous. Maybe even a little bit dangerous.
