Drakons and Azkaban

My discussion with Fred left me giddy, and Nico gave me a small smirk before he left. I told him that he was always welcome to stay with me whenever he wanted to, and to extend that invitation to the others back at Camp as well. I told him that even Clarisse was welcome to stop by if she was ever in the area.

All week I devised a plan on how to get permission to go to interview Lucius Malfoy. I also contemplated all the possible hardships I could face if I was granted permission. Would I have to go to Azkaban? Would Lucius have to come to the Ministry? Do I involve Draco in the interview process? Do I do the interview and give Draco my notes later on?

It was stressing me out. I had told Fred about my dilemma, and he responded by saying I could probably just tell the Auror Department that Harry Potter is my godbrother and they'd let me do whatever I wanted.

My stress was alleviated on the final Sunday in March. Charlie Weasley was coming to visit from Romania, and Mrs. Weasley wanted all those who were not at Hogwarts in attendance. She asked me to come specifically because I had never met Charlie. I figured that while I was there, I could ask Mr. Weasley some questions and perhaps corner Ron and Harry.

"Harry, Ron, I need to interview Lucius Malfoy. For my mock but also not really a mock trial. I have to get approval from the Auror Department, and I need an in," I told the two, getting straight to the point.

"Erm, we could take you to the Ministry with us tomorrow. You'll probably have to visit him in Azkaban though," Harry said.

Ron nodded. "He's classified as a high risk prisoner, so they'll only let him out of there if he's testifying at a trial, and even then, he's under strict watch from Ministry guards."

"It's not still run by dementors, is it?" I asked.

Ron shook his head. "Kingsley had them banished. Not sure to where, but Azkaban is guarded by Aurors now."

"Tomorrow's our third Azkaban shift," Harry grimaced. "They'll probably just let you tag along. We have to check into the Ministry first, then we go."

I smiled. "Great! I owled Draco earlier, and I asked him if he wanted to come, but we decided it'll be better if it's just me that goes. Wait, what do I even wear to Azkaban? I can't very well wear this!"

It was true— my current outfit was hardly the proper attire for a visit to Azkaban, much less for a visit to the Ministry. I was wearing an orange Camp Half Blood T-shirt and a pair of jeans that had rips in them due to a series of unfortunate run-ins with monsters. My black high tops were worn out and the laces were dirty.

"Just wear what you wore to the Committee presentation. Audrey said you could keep it, right?" Harry asked.

I nodded. "I suppose I could, yes. Ugh, it's just getting so frustrating because all I have to wear is Camp shirts and my Hogwarts uniform. And it's not like I can go on a rendezvous to the mall without attracting monsters."

"Mall? What's a mall?" Ron asked, confused.

"It's a building that has tons of different shops in it," I explained. "Very public place."

"Have you thought of online ordering?" Harry asked.

I nodded remorsefully. "Unfortunately, the internet isn't a demigod's best friend. There once was a demigod who looked up what a gorgon was and... let's just say it didn't end well for him. I'm not really sure what it is about technology and demigods, but it doesn't work."

Harry pondered for a moment. Ron looked a little confused.

"What if I were to download shopping catalogues from websites and print them out, and then Ron and I will go get them? And if they don't fit you can always just charm them to," Harry asked.
