Mickey hummed as he was cutting vegetables for Lucia's salad that she was putting together.

Lucia loved it when Mickey hummed

It was soothing to her.

When she sang or hummed it calmed her anxiety.

But when Mickey did, it was like everything was at ease.

All the problems fell away.

The world didn't exist.

Just the two of them.

And peace.

Mickey didn't sing, and when he didn, it wasn't often.

He would sing with Lucia, or when he was thinking of her.

He thought of her often, but when he was missing her more than normal, that's when he sang.

He didn't belt out a song or break out into dance, it was always soft.

Richard had grown used to it.

He actually started to like it when Mickey sang softly in the cockpit.

Sometimes Richard would sing along in his head.

Mickey takes the knife he was using and washes it off.

He stops humming and grabs the speaker sitting on the counter.

He turns it on, paring to it and begins to play the song he was humming.

Lucia smiles as the takes the veggies that Mickey had cut up and she puts them in the mixing bowl.

Just the two of them enjoying their time as the song played.

She recognized it from when she and Mickey had watched Captain America and Peggy dance.

It had become her favorite.

Mickey loved that.

Never thought that you would be, standing here so close to me.

Lucia smiles as Mickey walks up to her and wraps his arms around her waist.

He rests his head on her shoulder as she lightly tosses the salad.

They sway as Mickey sings softly along with the song.

"Hi my love," Lucia says as she rips up more lettuce.

Mickey kisses her cheek before he turns her around.

She giggles as they look at each other.

"Kiss me once, then kiss me twice, then kiss me once again," Lucia sings.

"Can I have this dance?" Mickey asks her.
