Flight School. The time for call signs.
Call signs are kind of important in the aviation community.
Every cocky aviator tries their hardest to get the coolest-sounding call sign.
The most badass, most memorable, and the most honorable.
But if you're an idiot, you get stuck with a call sign so embarrassing that people forget your real name.
Take Lucia and Bob's commanding officer for example.
Oliver "Giggles" Wilson.
The man was given the call sign all because he would laugh at the most inappropriate times.
He once laughed while at attention and his commanding officer looked him stern in the face saying
"Something funny there Giggles?"
And ever since then, the man was referred to as Commander Giggles.
You can petition to get a new call sign but usually, it gets brushed over.
So if you want a memorable call sign, you better make a good impression.
Bob and Lucia on the other hand didn't care for call signs.
Both of them didn't really want one.
The only way you could possibly not get a call sign is if, of course, you never heard from or seen from.
But even then, you'd earn some kind of call sign such as
Stealth Pilot
Phantom
Ghost
SpiritThings that would pertain to how you were as a person or pilot.
Although, Ghost and Phantom were both in use.
And everyone knows to never double up on call signs.
Tatum "Ghost" Kazansky.
She was known well around all bases and every flight school.
Not only for being the daughter of Iceman but for also being such an amazing pilot just two weeks into flight school.
Tate had gotten her call sign due to her stealthy ways.
She'd creep up on you, like a ghost.
The pilot had gotten her call sign fairly early.
The school she was enlisted to, shared the same base as Lucia and Bob's.
But their classes were a week behind Tate's class schedule due to the lack of pilots enlisted in this class.
Then there was her childhood best friend/brother, Bradley.
Bradley "Rooster" Bradshaw.
