CHAPTER 29

Other's P.O.V

~POLICE CUSTODY~

Sheila sits before Dave quietly. They've been like that for over 10 minutes without a word.

She brings her head down and sigh then look up again.

"Why the hell are you here?" Dave ask coldly.

"I'm sorry" She mutter.

Dave frown staring at her.

"I'm sorry I made you like this" A tear run down her cheek.

"Why are you apologizing after what I've done to your daughter?" He ask.

"You wouldn't have done it if I had not break your trust. If I had tell you the truth sooner, you wouldn't have hated her so much.. all of these is my fault" She smile painfully.

Dave felt like these are the words he wanted to hear for years.

His eyes tears a bit and he look away.

"How come you're apologizing?" His voice comes out hoarse instead.

Is he feeling emotional?

"Why didn't you kill me?" Sheila ask and Dave look at her.

"What?" He ask.

"You hated me so much and you had me all those years. Even if you kill me, no one would find out but you kept me. You even fed and clothed me with good cloths. Why Dave?" She ask.

Dave closes his eyes and take a sharp intake of breath. He had try to kill this woman so many times. But stop each time he attempt to do it. He thought maybe he wanted her to suffer but instead he fed her and took good care of her.

"Because I love you" He reply with a heavy heart. He shut his eyes and tears roll down his cheek.

"I couldn't kill you cus I love you.. I can't believe it myself either. How come I still love the woman who betrayed me? I hated myself for it. I even tried marrying another wife but I still can't stop thinking of you. I hate you Sheila! I hate you for what you did to me! I hate myself too for not able to get rid of that damn feeling!!" Dave's lips trembles.

He finally got to say what is in mind. He ruffle his hair madly. Sheila just keep quiet staring at him.

"After that night, I decided to find out about what really happened between you and Jesse. He drugged you.. I didn't even get to hear your explanation that night.. I'm sorry"

His last words hits her and she cry harder.

"I'm sorry for being a monster. I couldn't help it yunno.. I'm so sorry I made you and Ariel suffered.. I'm so Sorry I took everything away from you" Dave says wiping his tears with his handcuffed hand.

"I'm sorry too" Sheila stutter.

"I guess my time has come to an end. I'll be appearing at the court tomorrow" He says biting his lips.

"How's Areil?" He ask. That girl have suffered so much because of him.

"She is still laying unconscious at the hospital.. I'll head there once I leave" She reply.

"Tell her I'm sorry.. She had been a really strong girl mostly because of Steven" He smile.

He can believe he is saying those words. A policeman walks in to take him.

"Bye Sheila" He says.

"Bye" She mutter and watch him leave.

Micheal watch unconscious Ariel. She had been asleep since yesterday, she must be so exhausted from the cries and all.

He sigh and grab a book and begin to read.
