Ariel's P.O.V
"You're the last person I expected" My dad says after the police man bring him out.
Just like I promised my mom, I finally get to visit him. After so many years I get to see a genuine smile on his face.
"How are you doing Dad?" I ask staring blankly at him.
"C'mon.. I know you already found out about what happened. I'm not your biological father.."
"You're still my Dad" I cut him off. "I only saw Jesse once and that was Fifteen years ago when he came to my school just to take a strand of my hair.. He is not my Father even though we are related by blood. He never was my father. He was not the one who thought me how to ride a bike Fifteen years ago, He was not the one who loves bringing chips on his way home, He was not the one who read me stories every night before I go to bed and He was not the one who made me strong.." I stop and sigh.
His lips part and closes several times.
"I'm speechless.. I never expected you to say that.." Dave says.
"Hmm.. me too" I reply and he look at me in confusion.
"Huh?"
"You know who made me say all those stuff" I smirk.
"Your mother" He chuckle. It's being long I've heard him laugh like that. Most of his laughter are evil but this one was different.
"But I meant those words though" I say seriously and he nod.
"Thank you" He smile.
"Don't think I've forgiven you" I raise my brow at him.
"Of course dear.. my sins can't be forgiven and I've hurt you and your mother a lot.. especially you. How's Steve?" He says.
"He's good.. he forgave you" I reply and he nod.
How come he changed so fast. I guess he and my mom really solved their differences.
"I have a gift for you" he says and my eyes widen.
"Uh.. a genuine one actually" He adds quickly and my body relax.
"I realized you like to sing but I stole that dream away from you so I was able to contact one of my close friend. It wasn't easy though. He is a music producer and he said he would love to train you..."
"Really?" I frown. That was the last thing I expected him to say.
"Yes really.. so would you accept the gift or.."
"I would but I have still not forgiven you and I won't say thank you" I cut in causing him to smile.
"You're one stubborn kid huh?" He grin.
"I got that from you" I reply returning the smile.
"Thank you.. and I mean it" he nod.
"Whatever.. see ya in 20 years. Expect your grandson and daughter when you come out" I stand to leave.
He laugh lightly shaking his head.
"Bye Dad" I wink then leave the police custody.
I smile the more seeing Steven waiting for me.
"Babe" he call and gives me a quick peck on my lips. "They are so many reporters outside.. I didn't know becoming a CEO will be this stressful"
"Since you know, I want a massage tonight" I smirk drawing my face close to his.
"Anything for you sweetie" He kiss my forehead. "Let's go.. we are going to be late!" He says putting on his sunglasses before dragging me out gently to our car.
