"Why...why are you here?"

"Well I came to see my best friend na, I can't?"

"You are still unwell!! Is it even ok for you to be here?!"

"I'm fine. Better. I just look a little flushed. But much better now. Are you going to let me stand here the whole afternoon?"

Forth glared at me as he stepped aside to let me in. I chuckled as I went in.

"Where were you off to without even eating lunch?"

"I was going to come see you because I wasn't sure if you were going to go out so wanted to keep an eye on you."

"I'm fine Forth. Aren't you going out with the boys?"

"I'm not. I'm tired. I thought of checking in on you and just game."

"Well, as you can see, I'm fine. I'm gonna go back to my dorm and rest. I leave you to your day ok? You already baby sat me enough for yesterday."

"It's nothing. Why don't you stay here if you want? We can game together?"

"You just don't trust me enough not to go off partying right?"

Forth grinned sheepishly. I rolled my eyes as I chased him to go have dinner whilst I helped myself to drinks from his fridge. I set up the gaming console whilst he finished up his lunch.

We gamed for a few hours before I crashed out on the couch for a nap around 6pm. I woke up around 8pm only to find Forth pottering in the kitchen.

"Heyy"

"You are up? Good. Go wash your face. We can eat dinner."

I nodded and I went to get a quick wash,  checked my hair and went out to see Forth laying the table.

"What's for dinner?"

"I had stuff so I cooked fried rice for us with some eggs on the side."

"Just the way I like it!"

Forth just smiled. As I ate dinner, I couldn't help but wonder why this fellow was still single despite being a sweet heart. He was secretly the Teddy bear of the group and I never understood how come he never dated. I knew he had liked Beam at one point but Beam fell for Lam and Lam was so conflicted because he knew of Forth's feelings but Forth graciously stepped aside knowing Lam liked Beam too.

I don't know if I could ever be like that. But then again, no one is going to like my sorry ass and I was also too rude for my own liking at times. I was so engrossed in my thoughts that I didn't hear Forth call out to me and I finally snapped back to reality when he flicked my forehead!

"Where have you been?! I been calling you for a while now."

Oooops, busted. "Sorry na, was just thinking about something."

Forth nodded and started clearing up. I offered to help but as usual was chased away. I just laughed and helped myself to his snacks as we chatted whilst he did the dishes.

Once he was done, I decided to make a move.

"I go back first na?"

"You feeling all OK? Let me check your forehead."

I stood in front of Forth as this fellow towered over me slightly, checking my forehead. He realized I was fine and smiled at me.

"I see you on Monday then?"

I nodded and I left.

Monday came and I think Forth half expected that I would be late. But I rushed like crazy and made it on time at 5.30pm for Sotus set up. The surprise on Forth's face made up for all of that rush. We went about Sotus drills and I was in charge of the groups at the stadium. They ran rounds and I ran alongside them; that's the whole spirit of Sotus. I saw Forth frowning as he saw me run. What was going on? Clearly one of the juniors had pissed him off.

Once Sotus was done, we were all wrapping up when I went over to him.

"All OK? Why do you look so pissed? Which junior pissed you off?"

"It's not a junior. It's you."

"What did I do now?! I was on time!"

"It's not that. Why were you running? You just recovered right?"

"Forth. I'm a senior. I have to lead by example right? That's what you always say. And it's a Sotus thing. You know that. And I'm better."

"You just ran 10 rounds under the hot sun, 3km each. You are just getting better. It's ok if you sat out. No one is going to scold or judge you. What if you fell ill again?!"

Forth stormed off angrily after that and I just stared at him completely utterly confused. I knew where he was coming from but...

I just watched as he ignored me for the rest of pack up duty. I sighed softly and just cleaned up; but the thought of him ignoring me ran through my head consistently.

It seemed like I can do no right with this guy. Ugh !
