I met my junior Li at the nearby noodle stall. He was getting coaching from me for a module I took before and he wanted to thank me with dinner.

I was never one to pass up a free dinner and so I met up with Li. We had quite a good dinner together and I offered to drop him off since it was on the way. He stayed at Forth's dorm and I figured I swing by to see him too on the way.

Just as I dropped Li off, Forth was walking towards his dorm. He was carrying a case of beers and some chicken. I called out to him as Li walked off too.

"Forth!"

"Park. What are you doing here?" He walked towards me then.

"I dropped..." just then I got interrupted by Li who came back to return the helmet.

"P! Sorry, in my haste, I accidentally carried this with me too!" Li chuckled as he passed me the helmet.

I waved off his apology and just took the helmet from him, thanking him for it. Forth just quietly watched our interaction.

"You lent him the helmet?"

"I had to send him home right? Can't be without a helmet!"

"Yea.. its just that, that helmet. Isn't it the one I been using?"

"Yes. I only got 2. One is mine and the other is what I lend to people when I go riding."

"Oh.."

I just looked at Forth keenly. Something was just weird with this fellow.

"Is everything ok? Why do you ask so many weird questions today?"

Forth just shook his head and smiled. He muttered an excuse and just went off. I stood there, just staring at him walk off dumbfounded. Just then Lam came by.

"Hey! Why didn't you tell me you were coming by?"

"I.... I came to drop a junior off and I met Forth but dude has been behaving weird. I have no idea on what's with him."

"What happened?" Lam asked and I narrated all that had happened. Lam just cocked his head at me and then smiled, that cheeky confident smirk of his when he knows something that I do not.

"What is it?! Spit it out!"

"It's for me to know and for you to find out. When you do, all of these will make sense to you and him. I bet even he doesn't realise it. The two of you are like 2 peas in a pod in some things."

I glared at Lam who just laughed at me and went off but not before inviting me to his dorm for games. I waved it off and was contemplating between going to see Forth or home. Just as I stood there debating, Forth came out, dressed in his biker jacket and jeans. He looked like he was dressed to go out. He saw me and he faltered. Guess he wasn't expecting me to be around.

"Off somewhere?"

"Yea. Meeting someone."

"Who?"

Before Forth answered, I heard a familiar voice and turned to see Kuynn. Ah. I turned to look at Forth and he had this unreadable expression. I just nodded and went off, having made up my mind.

But even I couldn't deny the foul mood I was in as I rode back home. And I couldn't tell why I was in such a mood.
