The next morning, I went to the canteen for my lunch break. Park and Lam had a break too so I was expecting to meet up with them at the table. I reached the table only to find Lam and Beam.

"Heyy"

"Hey Forth. You want to go get your lunch first?" Beam asked.

I flicked my eyes around the table and just nodded my head at Beam's question before turning away. Just then Lam called out to me.

"Park is going to be late because he has to go see the lecturer. Think he may not make it for lunch so he told us to go ahead."

"Ah.. okays."

I turned and walked towards the stall but changed my mind last minute to go get some sandwiches instead for Park and scooted off. If I had turned, I would have seen the cheesy confident smirk of Lam who knew he had hit bull's eye with his words.

I bought some sandwiches and coffee and went to wait for Park at the faculty. He came out about 10 minutes just before break was to end. This gave him enough time to just walk to class. As he came out, he saw me and he instantly smiled. I couldn't help but realize the smile over my own as I saw him.

"Forth.."

"I bought these for you. I heard you may miss lunch so its on the way."

"You had yours already?"

Shit. If I told him the truth, he will scold me so I nodded yes. He smiled and accepted the food and drinks. We went off for classes. Lam and he took one elective together whilst I had some lab work.

We ended school around 6pm and I came out, only to find a stony faced Park waiting for me.

"Hey, how come you are here? I thought you ended over an hour ago?"

"I did. I been waiting for you."

"Oh why? There's no Sotus today. Everything ok? Why do you look so angry Park?"

"I'm going to ask you again. Did you eat lunch earlier?"

"Yes. Why do you keep asking?"

"Because its unlike of you to lie to me and I keep wondering why you keep doing it. Lam told me you just ran off instead of buying lunch. But you turned up with food for me. So I'm asking again, did you have lunch?"

"Park.. look I know you will nag if you found out I didn't eat so I lied a little. I heard you may miss lunch that's why...I..."

"You bought so much for me. We could have shared. Couldn't you have told me? You keep telling me to look after myself and you keep doing a shitty job yourself! I know you don't eat breakfast as it is. So 1 cup of coffee from 9-6pm?!"

I looked blankly at Park who was hopping mad. I knew if I said anything, I will aggravate him. But I had to diffuse the situation. Just as I wanted to open my mouth, that stupid junior walked past.

"P Forth! Thank you for accompanying me last night!" Kuynn's shrill voice rang out. Trust me, that's how it sounded to me at that moment.

Park and I turned to see her. He just looked at her blankly. Kuynn smiled at him sweetly and continued thanking me for accompanying her to go see her friend at the bar and all. His face grew stonier but he didn't say anything. Then, that idiotic girl dropped another bombshell.

"P Forth, I know you said you have plans with P Park today but I was thinking we could go for drinks again today after that if its ok?"

Ah great. Good job Kuynn. Thanks for digging my grave even deeper and throwing me in. Before I could say anything, Park's cold voice rang out.

"You can actually bring him out now itself Nong. He doesn't actually eat much so we cancelled our plans. He's all yours."

With that, fucking Park just strode off. This stupid asshole! He just disappeared. I sighed as Kuynn watched me confused. I finally told her I can't and wouldn't as I got plans with Park and it hasn't changed. She nodded confusedly and thank god for her, she didn't push things further.

I made my way back to Park's dorm. I knocked repeatedly but there was no answer. I texted Lam who told me Park was at his and I went over. Lam opened the door for me and signalled at Park who was in the balcony smoking. I just went in, dragged Park out, told Lam we will see him tomorrow and left. Park was pissed and kept trying to pull his hand away. But I just held on firmly and dragged him back to his dorm. I snatched his keys from him and opened the door. Once we were in, Park broke free and walked away only to be stopped by me. I held onto his wrist tightly.

"Look I'm sorry. But you don't have to be this upset."

I didn't hear anything for a long time. Finally I heard Park's voice, softer this time. The kind he uses when he realized he messed up or is messing up.

"I know but I couldn't control myself. I cannot even pinpoint why I am so upset that you didn't eat and lied to me. I cannot find one logical reason. And its scaring me."

He fell silent after that. I just looked at his back blankly. I didn't know how to respond to it either.
