The Spy

Over the next few weeks, Poe and Ace developed a closer friendship and continued to tease Liam and Jordan. Liam and Jordan, which Ace decided to refer to as Jiam, were getting closer, and had a few more dates, but didn't put a label on what they were. Poe and Ace had an inkling but didn't question them about it. They were going at their own pace, and that was completely fine.

"Dameron!" Ro'sara called. Poe looked over at the woman, wondering if something was going on. "Find Ace. General Organa needs us."

Poe nodded and headed to Ace's usual spots, searching for her. When he finally saw that familiar red hair, he hurried up to her, his hand gently grabbing her shoulder. "Ace. You have to come with me."

"What? Why? Am I in trouble?" she asked. Poe's hand trailed down her arm as they began to walk and he grabbed her own.

"General Organa needs us. I don't know why," he explained. Ace simply nodded and followed him through the hallways and into the control room. Ro'sara and Alak stood next to the general, awaiting their arrival. Poe let go of Ace's hand and stood tall.

"General, what is this about?" Ace asked.

Leia pressed a button and a hologram of a woman appeared. Her hair was long and dark, as were her eyes. "This is Mina Skyo. She's a Resistance spy that was at a First Order base. They started to get suspicious, so she ran. She's currently hiding out on Doria, but she's in danger. I want you four-!" BB-8 beeped loudly, causing Leia to chuckle. "I want you five to go find her."

"Doria, that's..."

"A very prestigious planet. Meaning you'll have to dress the part. And lucky for you, there's a gala tonight. You'll be able to get in, find Mina, and get out without any questions. Am I clear?"

"We get in, we get Mina, we get out as fast and as unnoticed as possible, correct?" Alak clarified.

"That's right, Mr. Genko," Leia nodded. "Mina is hiding somewhere here. In the Capitol building, which is where the gala is being held. You do whatever you have to, as long as you blend in. I have a ship all ready for you. It is fully ready. Leave as soon as you can."

"Yes General," Poe said, nodding. The four, along with BB-8, walked to the hanger and found the ship Leia was telling them about. As Ro'sara, BB-8, Poe, and Ace boarded, Alak hurried to say goodbye to Carmiya. Poe began to start up the ship and muttered to himself. Ro'sara found four bags, each labeled with each member of the Black Squadron. She handed Ace's bag to her and tossed Poe's into his stomach.

"What was that for?" he snapped.

Ro'sara shrugged. "I don't know, I just wanted to." Ace laughed lightly as Alak walked in and closed the door.

"I got dibs on changing first," he said, snatching his bag and walking to one of the back rooms. Poe slightly rolled his eyes and grabbed the controls, causing the ship to lift into the air. He set the course to Doria and the ship took off into space. Ace took a seat in the co-pilot's chair, getting ready to jump into hyperdrive.

"Ready when you are, flyboy," Ace said.

"Go ahead." Ace eased the ship into hyperdrive and the stars flew past, creating a tunnel-like experience, light flashing past. Ace smiled in awe, allowing a light laugh to escape her lips.

"You good, Ace?" Ro'sara asked.

"Yeah... I've just never seen this. Whenever I experienced hyperdrive, I was never near a window to see it. It's... beautiful," she whispered. Poe glanced over at her, smiling gently, then looked back out of the glass.

"Well, everyone? What do we think?" Alak questioned, walking in, grabbing the sides of his suit jacket, and spinning around. He wore a pair of gray slacks and a matching jacket, with a white button-up and a black tie.
