You Got Yourself A Deal

The group had talked well into the night, and it was nearly morning when they went back to base. It was a good thing none of them had anything to do later that day. Carmiya had fallen asleep next to Alak, so he carried her in his arms. After Drafan had hugged Ace, he remained close by, not wanting her to feel alone in any way. She didn't feel alone, but having the nearly non emotional pilot near her was comforting.

Cadan was on a major sugar high and was speeding ahead of everyone else, leaving Zena to sigh heavily and shake his head. This was apparently a normal occurrence, but not any less chaotic. Ro'sara had left a few hours prior, muttering something about how 'childish' they all were and how she was going to bed, but she let out a laugh as she left.

Ace had noticed little glances and smiles between Liam and Jordan, and sensed that something was going on. Was it a spark of romance blossoming? Did they like each other? Were they just being friendly? Whatever the case, a massive wave of teasing was going to happen from both Ace and Poe. He had noticed the gentle glances too. And as a brother figure to Jordan, how could he not tease her?

Jordan was stumbling with exhaustion, yet every time someone asked if she was okay, she said she was fine. It wasn't until Liam held his arm around her that people stopped asking, and instead gave each other knowing looks.

"You're very strong," Jordan mumbled, holding his arm firmly as he helped her walk back to base behind the rest of the group.

"Uh, thank you," he said. He cleared his throat in nervousness, glancing up to see Ace giving him a smug smile. He gave her a look back as if to say 'stop it'. But Ace did not, in fact, stop.

"Think they like each other?" Poe whispered, leaning his head closer to the redhead's.

"Oh yeah. There's definitely something there. And I'm going to tease them about it later," Ace whispered back with a teasing grin.

"We can tease them together, deal?"

"Excellent plan, Dameron." Poe smiled smugly and kept following the others.

"Ace! Ace, look!" Jordan exclaimed. Ace turned to look at her two friends, smiling gently. Once Jordan knew Ace was looking, the blonde messed with Liam's hair, and his face went red. Extremely red. "His hair is so fluffy!"

Liam looked like he could pass as a tomato due to how red he was. Yet even through the nervousness he was experiencing, he had a gentle smile on his lips, like if that felt right to him. Ace gave him another smug smile, and this time, Liam didn't do anything about it.

"Awwwwwwww!" Cadan cooed. He had backtracked when he realized other people had stopped and wanted to know what was happening. His voice turned to that of a song as he hopped from one foot to another. "Liam and Jordan sitting in a treeeee~!" At this, Jordan joined the blush fest, and stared at the sugar high boy wide eyed. Everyone laughed at the interaction, and even Drafan smiled a little.

"Cadan, shut up and leave them alone," Zena told his partner.

"Make me!" Now all attention was on them, much to the relief of Jordan and Liam. Ace placed her hand behind her back, giving the pair behind her a thumbs up while the group continued to walk back to base. Cadan and Zena were continuing to bicker, but in a fun way. Ace had the thought that Carmiya would be sad she slept through this.

When they got back, Drafan, Cadan, Zena, and Alak carrying Carmiya went back to their rooms, leaving Ace, Poe, Jordan, Liam, and BB-8 behind. Liam helped Jordan sit down and as he went to pull away, the blonde grabbed his arm and forced him to sit beside her. He was stunned at the action, but allowed it to happen. He always was a people pleaser, but this time... this time was different.
