It's been a few days since Pedri and I had our little fight, for which neither of us was willing to apologise. Pedri decided to be the stubborn one but two can play this game. I can enjoy all my time here at Lori's apartment, in my own room and a mini fridge full of Red Bulls.

Of course, it was her idea to put that into my room here, and I'm not that stupid to decline that idea. I was just waiting for her to come home from work, I had everything prepared for our movie night and Dolores is getting food.

Nicco and I talked a lot these past few days, and the poor boy is now terrified of Pedri. I heard the door open and finally, Dolores came in with our food.

"Hey there," she said, putting the pizza boxes on the coffee table, "What are we watching?"

"I was thinking we could have a Modern family marathon,"

"Sounds good," Lori replied and sat down on the couch next to me.

"How was Pedri today?" I broke the silence and my gaze was still on the TV screen.

"Okay, he asked about you," Lori took a deep breath, "I am not getting between the two of you, if he wants to talk to you he should call you, not talk through me. I am not some communication centre."

"I talked to my mom," I said as I cracked my fingers. "She understands why Pedri is protective and that I should be more reasonable, how he is just looking out for me. But how am I supposed to have my own experiences if I have him on my back?"

"Consider yourself lucky, imagine if Fernando joined in,"

"That would just be considered a circus, we'd all look like clowns," I laughed it off, and averted my gaze at my hands.

Dolores just smiled and nodded her head, and then we continued with our marathon.

"If she doesn't let us go when the bell rings, I'm flipping this table," Adela whispered to me in the middle of our last class for the day. I wasn't in the mood and just wanted to go home and sleep in my own bed, school desks ain't cutting it.

"Sure you are," I whispered back to her and closed my eyes.

The bell woke me from my nap and I saw Adela already packing her stuff, I grabbed my bag too and we left the building.

"Look who is picking you up," I looked in the direction she pointed and a smile appeared on my face.

"Fernando!" I yelled and ran into his arms, hugging him around his neck. "I missed you."

"I missed you too hermanita," he replied, hugging me even harder. "Let's go."

After a few minutes of driving in comfortable silence, he finally decided to speak up.

"Pedri called me,"

"Of course he did," a scoff escaped my mouth, and I decided to look out of the window. The houses and stores we passed by seemed more interesting than this conversation.

"I know he can exaggerate things sometimes, but you're our younger sister of course we are looking out for you. Sometimes not in the best way but we will always be here for you." He started his speech, he always had the flare for dramatics. "And I would love to meet the Nicco guy if you like him that much."

"We are just in the talking phase and going out here and then, but he is nice," I started, a smile plastered on my face. "Maybe you'll have to wait for a little to meet him because he is terrified of Pedri right now."

Fernando just started hysterically laughing, to the point tears started forming and rolling down his cheeks. "He is terrified of Pedri?! That is the funniest thing I've ever heard."

"Yeah, and the funny part? Pedri is shorter than him," this just made him laugh even harder.

We finally reached our final destination, McDonald's. Fernando is the best brother in the whole world. After ordering and waiting for our food, we sat in silence, Fernando still wiping his tears from before.

This was a nice surprise, spending time with my oldest brother whom I see once a month maybe. Sometimes it's hard to keep a check on where he is because the next second he could be in a timezone eight hours behind us.

"You're taking me to Pedris after this right?"

"If you want me to," I just nodded my head and started eating my fries and nuggets. Now I only have to talk to Pedri, sometimes I wished Pedri would be more like Fernando. A free bird, with an open mind and more understanding. Yet I somehow understood where he was coming from, after all, he is still my older brother and I'm still his younger sister.

"Hey, you have a new scratch," I pointed to a bloodied scar on his right wrist.

"Yeah, uhm, I got this recently." He started, stuttering his words a little. "I somehow slipped on the beach yesterday and got this one to remember how clumsy I am."

"Doesn't surprise me one bit,"

After a while, we finally made it to our final destination. Pedris' house.

"Thank you for today, it was amazing. I'll see you next month?"

"Probably in two months, I have my next trip planned out,"

"Well, I'll see you then," I said hugging him, and then I made my way slowly into the house. I cracked the door open and the first person I saw in front of me was Gavira. Great.

"Can't I catch a break from you?" I rolled my eyes and went past him.

"Liked you more when you weren't around," I hear him say behind me, and I just went on my search for Pedri. He was sitting outside by the pool and staring into nothingness. I sat down beside him, staring into the pool water.

We sat in silence for a few minutes before breaking it. "I'm sorry."

"I'm sorry too, I overreacted," he said, wrapping his arms around me.

"I did too,"

"It's okay, we're okay now." And with that, we sat together by the pool for an hour before going back inside and catching up.
