I'm in my last class for today, which was a free period. I'm staring at the time, waiting for the bell. While waiting, I pull out my phone to see if my parents have responded to my text asking if I can sleep over at Kyle's.
Mum: OK, as long as you don't sleep in the same room as or near any of them.
I roll my eyes at her response, putting my phone away and packing up my belongings. I meet Kyle at his locker, smiling when he approaches. "Hey, y/n, what's up?" He asks. I could feel my cheeks going red as they got hot. "Nothing much, just waiting for you to let you know I may be late as I have to go home to get my stuff for tonight," I say, gliding my foot along the floor. "Yeah, no problem; the others will be as well," he says, closing his locker and picking up his bag before throwing it over his shoulders. "See you soon," Kyle says as he raises his hand to wave goodbye. I wave back before heading towards where Craig parked his car this morning, hoping he's still here to give me a ride home.
lucky me because Craig was sitting inside his car bobbing his head up and down most likely to a song but I wonder what one. I sneak to the passenger side of the car, swinging the door open as quickly as possible, trying to catch him off guard, but he knew I was coming as no music was playing and he was sitting on his phone scrolling. disappointment flowed through me as I really wanted to bully him about his music choice but he was too quick. "what took you so long I've been waiting for ages." He complains in his raspy, monotone voice, but how did he know I was going to go home with him? I didn't ask ahead of time, and he didn't tell me he was taking me home.
"How did you know I was coming?" I ask him. "I saw you creeping around my car. there are mirrors you know" he answered and my face went red with embarrassment he saw me crouching next to his car walking weirdly, great. Though his response was not what I had in mind when I asked him that, but an answer is an answer, I reason as I click my seatbelt.
Arriving back at my house, I make my way to my room and pack everything I would need to stay over at Kyle's. I grab an oversized shirt and some pants for pj's and an outfit for tomorrow. I then head for my bathroom packing all toiletries I may need. Zipping up my bag, I run down the stairs and walk out the door, locking it behind me as my parents aren't home yet.
Finally, I arrive at Kyle's house, taking a breath before knocking on the door. My heart skips a beat and my breath hitches at the sight of Kyle opening the door. "Hey, y/n," he says, smoothly opening the door wider and allowing me inside. "Am I the first one here?" I ask noticing no one else in the living room. "Nope, Stan's here. Well, he came home with me; he basically lives here." Kyle adds on, laughing a little at the end, "He's in the bathroom right now." Kyle finishes his sentence, rubbing his hand through his hair and then down his neck at the end of his sentence. God, that was hot. My face is definitely red, so I turn my gaze to the ground, letting my hair fall on my face and cover it.
Time skip:
Everyone has now arrived, and we are all sitting in front of the TV—me, Stan, and Kyle are on the couch, and Cartman and Kenny are on the floor. We are playing the same game as the last time I was here, but this time I was watching Kyle and Cartman fight against each other. I couldn't stop laughing at them yelling at each other whenever one would damage the other. Stan just rolls his eyes looking down at his phone to messages from Wendy. I see him smiling at her texts before replying with a thumbs-up. I make myself go back to watching the game when Kyle won against Cartman for the 12th time.
"NO, YOU WERE DEFINITELY CHEATING JEW!" Eric screams out; he really is a sore loser. "No, I'm not fatass; I'm just actually good at the game." Kyle recoils, his face turning red with anger, making me smile. I see someone looking at me, someone next to me. My eyes focus on Stan, who's raising an eyebrow at me, smirking, and nudging his head toward Kyle. I shake my head in defence but he doesn't believe me before mouthing, it's ok, I won't tell. I let out a breath before bringing myself back to the conversation. "I want a rematch!" Cartman continues with his rant, "No fatass other people want to play, and you haven't even won one of the matches against Kyle," Stan says while stealing the controller from Cartman. Eric's eyes turn to me, staring me down as I chuckle.
