Chapter 1

"No, no, no, Hiccup. There has to be an Isle of Night, you and me both know that Alvin isn't smart enough to just create an island!"

"Yeah but they had Mildew."

Lira sighed, "I want to believe that there are other Nightfuries out there."

Hiccup walked across the room and picked up a map of Berk and surrounding islands.

"There's nothing that hasn't been found."

"Come on Hic, where's your adventurous side?" Lira asked.  Hiccup shrugged looking at her. She poked his chest and held her finger at his stomach, "Come on I would say it's deep in there somewhere, but really there's not a lot for it to get lost in."

He glared at her.

 "Ha Ha very funny Li," he said sarcastically.

"What ever! We need to find this place! Come on!"

"Tomorrow? I can have toothless ready."

"Alright see you then, I've got to train with Astrid today."

"You sound so excited."

"Thrilled... really," She said sarcastically.

"You have to like some part of it, otherwise you would just tell Astrid you don't want to go anymore."

"Well number one yes, I love being chased around a small stone dome as a crazy girl chases after me with an axe and second I don't like the part where I tell her I don't want to go anymore and end up dieing."
He laughed.

"got to go, bye!" Lira hugged him bye.

Lira got to the arena to come face to face with Astrid.

"Ready?"

"ready," Lira sighed. She pulled out a sword hiccup made her 2 years ago for her birthday. She moved the two short locks of short brown hair out off her face and stood facing Astrid, who had out her axe. They fought and Astrid struck up conversation, "So why where you late?"

"Oh just going over plans with Hic."

"What for?" She danced her eyebrows. Lira twisted up her face, "SHUT UP!"

Astrid almost fell over laughing and Lira took that as an opportunity to jump Astrid and push her to the ground holding her sword at Astrid neck.

"Alright Li, you got m. You win this one."

"Damn strait I do," Lira does a triumphant nod and small victory dance.

Her and Astrid walk back together.  Astrid started, "Your to easy to get worked up,"

"Look who's talking! Well at least I don't go after people with axes."

"It's actually a very good technique, here watch the magic at work."

Astrid said seeing Snotlought, "HEY SNOTLOUGHT GET YOUR BUTT OVER HERE!"

"Anything for you," he starts walking over, "what was that beautiful? you called my name."

"Don't call me beautiful!" Astrid started to take out her axe and Snotlought started running. Me and her laughed.

"Alright this is where I leave you," Astrid turned for her house.

"BYE!" Lira said, Astrid waves.

I started my trek home. How long has it been, if were 16.... Then it's been 3 years since I came here and hiccup helped me out of the woods. YEAH! It's been 3 years of silently crushing on him! Oh well.

I smashed into someone, Hiccup. I fell on my butt and he crashed backwards on to his.

"Oops, sorry," we said at the same time. I giggled and he blushed. I looked around at the books scattered everywhere. I started to collect them, and gave the 5 I had collected back to him he picked up the others and they stacked over his head.

 "You want help?" I asked. I heard a muffled, "Yes," and laughed taking the top couple so he could see.

 "Where to Hic?"

"Great Hall."

"Alright off we go!"

I turned to face where I was going and started walking the walk was silent.

"What's all this for?"

"Dragon studies, I have to add some stuff about Toothless."

"Oh. Can I help?"

"You can keep me company," he shrugged.

"Sure."

I sat and read over what he wrote. I pulled out my sketch pad and started drawing. He stopped writing and looked at what I was doing. He watched line after line as I sketched. One line, a face, two ears two eyes a long body and tail and wings, I lightly drew over coloring it black.

"A Night Fury."

"Yeah."

"When did you-"

He stopped as I flipped wrought the pages revealing notes covering pages and pictures of dragons.

"Wow."

"My whole time here has been dedicated to this book, everything you told me, and more that I have learned. I know it's a lot."

"It's amazing!"

I thought for a second, "Look at these, I started to sketch these after you told me about toothlesses saddle."

He looked over the saddle designs and his eyes landed on the sketch of 2 pairs of body armor.

"What's that?" he asked.

"Oh I thought of that last night when I first started thinking about going to find the isle of night an what we would need to bring."

"Smart, but I hadn't agreed to go yet. How?" He pointed at the book and raised and eyebrow.

"What can I say," I shrugged, "I played you like the panpipes." He gave me an are- you -serious face. I laughed at him.

"I already made my suit."

"YOU DID!"

"Yeah,"

"Holy crap Lira,"

I shrugged. He smirked, "Can I see it?"

"yeah, I-I mean sure I'm not goanna hide it from you."

He laughed at my sudden awkwardness. I went to put it on. When I came out I had light brown leather under black. Hiccup's jaw dropped.

I looked over my shoulder and spun around, "I guess I could change-"

"NO DONT CHANCE ANYTHING ON IT! please."

I laughed at him as a blush flew over his face all the way to his ears.

"Aww your so cute! YOUR LIKE A LOST DRAGONETTE!" I couldn't help myself, I ran up to him hugging him. Digging my face into his collar bone, he held my back as I was like 4 inches off the ground.

"Your so adorkable!" I laughed making him blush.
