That night was awkward, but sweet. Lira had her head on hiccup's shoulder and was playing with his hands. He watched as Lira spread his fingers and bent them down, also playing with his palms. He turned and kissed her cheek. She smiled.

"I love you," Lira said.

Hiccup stopped he looked at lira who was staring at him, "I love you too,"

She snuggled deeper into his shoulder hugging his arm (picture).

"You have no idea,"

"What do you mean?"

"I couldn't live without you,"

"Lira,"

"I mean it!"

"I know, I know, Ill keep you safe, don't be afraid Lira, I wont let anything happen to you till we grow old together, no! even then I wont let you go!"

Lira snuggled in turning her face and kissing where her head lay.

"Of all the things my hands have held the best by far is you,"

"I love you too much,"

He chuckled, and lira crawled up and kissed his lips. falling asleep on his chest.

A rustle woke both of them up.

"what was that?" Lira huddled closer to hiccup as he stood up and pulled out his sword, popping it open. The head of a Monstrous Nightmare came out and it licked his sword then set it on fire.

"AN INFERNO!" Lira's mind suddenly filled with ideas. Toothless came over lazily and shot once at the dragon causing it to run back into the woods. He sat proudly then layed back down falling instantly asleep. Lira jumped excitedly when hiccup turned around.

"what?"

"I got and idea!" She said as hiccup tried to put the fire out with his boot.

"what if to kept saliva in the handle so when it retracts it would coat the blade and as it slides out it already sparks so it would light on fire causing it to be and inferno."

She paused as hiccup thought about it.

"then you could make hideous zippleback gas in the other side to make explosions!"

"alright nutcase,"

Lira smiled innocently. She yawned making a chain reaction on hiccup.

"back to sleep?"

"yeah,"

Lira laid down and hiccup watched her roll into the blanket and stick her hands out to be hugged. Hiccup rolled his eyes and laid down next to her. Lira rolled into him and smiled into his chest.

When the three woke up they collected their things and started flying again. Hiccup checked the map.

"We should go south-west,"

Hiccup trailed off.

"Is that a for-sure?"

"yeah.... yeah, lets check that island,"

"that one," Lira pointed to an island covered with mist,

"yeah,"

"Urm, well maybe not, its kinda' creeping me out,"

"come on lira! the isle of night isn't going to just hit you in the face,"

"no, but-"

"come on,"

"fine."

They descended on to the creepy island. As soon as they landed hiccup pulled out his sword and held it up and ready. A bush moved in the wind and a chain on a tree branch moved causing it to shine in lira's eyes and attract her attention.

"What's that?"

"what- huh?"

lira was already half way up the tree.

"Lira!!!!"

"Hold on!"

She grabbed the necklace and jumped down.

"Don't ever do that again,"

"hiccup I've been climbing trees forever, anyway look at this."

Lira held up the necklace. It's red stone glimmered.

"It's beautiful," hiccup held the pendant.

"here," Hiccup spun Lira around and placed the pendant around her neck. as soon as it touch here chest it started to sting.

"Ow!"

"what?"

"I think the chain pinched me,"

nether noticed the red stone get a little darker.
