Breakaway

Chapter 2

After that I pretty much just started making hiccup's suit. He volunteered to help, I told him to wait. So he did, and the second I finished the main body Hiccup stole it from me and all my scraps. I watched him go crazy stitching and sewing different parts. I started to hit my head on wooden pole after I saw him get metal pieces and start attaching them to the suit. I yawned and he stopped for a couple of seconds to look at me and yawn himself before turning back to the suit after I waved him off. It was getting really late. I went over to him. He looked really tired but he kept going and making more changes and little tweaks. He gave me a small smile. There was a small crash and Toothless wobbled in carrying the fish for a week. Hiccup made an I'm-finally-finished sound. I went back over to him he was sketching something final on his right side shoulder. He stood up and looked at me. I smiled and waved awkwardly. He held my shoulders and turned me to my left. He drew the same symbol on my left. I realized it was also on toothless tail fin. Adding me to their family. After he finished his eyes slipped closed and he fell on my shoulder.

"Urgg! Hiccup? Hic? Hic!" I was trying to wake him up. It didn't work. So I put him down on the floor. I looked at the symbol again. I took off the top part of my armor and started painting the symbols red. As I finished, I heard Hiccup grunt. I walked back over to the sleeping Hiccup. I looked at him trying to think of a way to make him more comfortable. Toothless had left to walk back to hic's house, so I couldn't bring him home. I thought harder-until he grabbed my leg. I fell and he wrapped his arms around me. After I finished fangirling and blushing I wiggled a little trying to get free without waking him up. Plan failed.

"HICCUP WAKE UP!!!"

His eyes opened lazily, "whaaa- oh my gods! Lira!"

He immediately let go his face turning a dark red.

"How did that... happen?" he asked me. I explained.

"Where's the top of your suit?" He questioned again.

"it's drying, I painted the symbol red."

"That's cool."

A moment of silence, "we should go its really late."

 He nodded and headed for his house taking his suit with him. just as he was about to leave gobber's shop he turned, "Thank you for the suit and good night. Sorry for my awkwardness."

I laughed, "No problem Hic, good night."

He smiled and walked away. I watched him leave. Leaning my head back on the chair I was sitting on, thinking over life.

We leave today. I can't wait!  I shoveled in my breakfast and said my good bye to my dad. I grabbed my bag containing food and a few other things like my hairbrush.

 I opened the door walking into Hiccup's chest.

"Oh hi, ready to go?" He asked.

"Yeah," I said blowing my hair out of my face. He chuckled at my constant habit and I blushed.

Lira followed Hiccup to a heavily packed Toothless.

"Hiccup? Are you sure he can carry all of that?"

"Yeah."

"I suppose we will be taking most of this off, like the food."

"Exactly."

Lira rolled her eyes at him.

"Lets go!" Lira hopped onto the front, "Get on."

"Really?"

"Unless you want us to leave without you."

"Coming," he strapped something quickly to the black dragons side and slipped in the back.

"What's your plan now?" He asked me.

"This!" Lira stuck a bottom part of her boot in the peg leg's spot. The tail opened. They flew at a 90° angle up after Lira tapped on toothleses shoulder blade. Hiccup, not being attached the way he usually is, almost flew off the back before holding Lira's shoulders as the dragon pushed up. After a certain point toothless stopped and dropped a couple feet in a free fall. This caused Lira to come off the seat and for Hiccup to push her back down.
