Breakaway

Chapter 6

(WARNING: EXTREMELY SAD)

More things happened, Hiccup continued to try to save her getting himself more and more hurt.

Lira sat at the edge of a cliff dangling her legs over the side. Staring off into the setting sun in front off her.

"Lira?"

"Yeah?"

"Come here, Please."

Lira sighed softly not because she didn't want to be with him but because of the true fact that lira knows it's her causing hiccups pain.  But she went and laid next to him he smiled and hugged her. Hiccup fell asleep with Lira in his arms.

Lira knew what she needed to do in order to keep hiccup from anymore pain. She wrote a note and left it in her place. Her tears fell from her cheeks as she walked to the edge of the cliff. She looked over the edge. Prepared herself and jumped. In mid-fall she turned so her back would hit the ground. She had no regrets. Black.

The next morning hiccup woke up to find lira no where. He found the note. his eyes scanned the note and he started sobbing .

Dear Hiccup,

I'll spread my wings and I'll learn how to fly

I'll do what it takes 'til I touch the sky

And I'll make a wish

Take a chance

Make a change

And breakaway

Out of the darkness and into the sun

But I won't forget all the ones that I love

I'll take a risk

Take a chance

Make a change

And breakaway

His eyes spilled over and he almost didn't want to read the rest he knew what it was. He knew it was a suicide note.  There was nothing else it could be.  Tears streamed down his face. he looked at toothless who had woken up and was trying to comfort hiccup. the dragon tried to take his attention off the note. With no prevail.  Hiccup continued reading.

Hiccup finished as a flash of the past hit him in a rush of warm memories.

Her smile, her eyes, her laugh, since forever she had always been there for him. he knew it must have hurt if she had liked him the whole time, for her to hear about how  amazing and wonderful he thought Astrid was  before he realized he liked lira instead.

He was going to fulfill her dying wish he would find the isle of night.
