Eddie Munson and Steve Harrington had enjoyed a strong bond of friendship for many years. Ever since their shared experience with Vecna, had brought the unlikely pair closer together, they had formed an unbreakable bond of friendship. Over the years, however, Eddie had begun to notice a shift in his feelings towards Steve, a shift that he had initially tried to ignore, but found himself unable to.

His feelings for Steve had deepened, transformed from mere friendship into something much more potent. He was in love with him. Yet, he was uncertain of how to convey this newfound affection. His fears of tarnishing their existing friendship and the possibility of unrequited feelings held him back, creating an internal struggle that left him in a constant state of turmoil.

Then, one afternoon, everything changed. The skies were overcast, and a rainstorm was imminent. Despite the weather, both Eddie and Steve decided to take a walk in the park, a place they often went too to spend time together, as it held numerous shared memories. As they continued walking, it started to pour, and a deluge of rain cascaded down, drenching them in mere moments.

They attempted to find cover underneath the sparse canopy of trees, but the torrential rain was relentless – they were soaked to the bone. As they stood there, shivering from the cold, Eddie was hit by a wave of emotion so powerful that it left him breathless.

He turned to look at Steve, who was shaking his head and laughing merrily at their predicament. Rain droplets clung to his hair, and his face was adorned with a grin so innocent and pure that it took Eddie's breath away. In that moment, with Steve's laughter echoing in his ears and the rain acting as a backdrop, Eddie thought Steve looked incredibly beautiful.

Before he could second-guess himself, Eddie found himself leaning in, closing the distance between them. His lips met Steve's in a soft, tentative kiss – a confession of his love and longing. It was a kiss filled with all the emotions Eddie had been struggling to express, a silent confession of his love.

Steve was initially surprised, but he didn't pull away. Instead, he returned the kiss, matching Eddie's fervor and intensity. It was as if a spark had been ignited between them, a mutual understanding that had been dormant for so long but had finally come to life.

They stood there, kissing passionately in the rain, oblivious to the world around them. They were drenched, their clothes clinging to their bodies, but they didn't care. They were lost in their own world, their own private bubble of love and longing.

When they finally pulled away, they were both panting, their eyes wide with surprise and realization. They shared a look, a silent conversation, and Eddie knew in his heart that he had made the right choice. Steve was the one he wanted to spend his life with, the one he wanted to share all his tomorrows with, irrespective of the challenges that may lie ahead.
