A/N I know it is nowhere near Christmas but I thought the idea was cute

Steve Harrington and Eddie Munson had been dating for a few weeks now, and they both felt that there relationship was truly special. As the holiday season approached, Steve couldn't help but feel the urge to want to do something cute for him and eddie. With Christmas just around the corner, he decided to host a small party at his house, inviting their close friends Robin, Nancy, Jonathan, and newcomer Argyle.

Excitement filled the air as Steve prepared for the gathering. He knew this was the perfect opportunity to steal a kiss from Eddie under the mistletoe. With mischievous thoughts dancing in his head, he purchased a bundle of mistletoe and hung it up in strategic spots around his house.

As the guests arrived, laughter and festive cheer filled the atmosphere. Steve greeted everyone with warmth, secretly hoping that Eddie would find himself underneath the mistletoe at some point during the evening. However, Eddie remained blissfully oblivious to Steve's intentions, and each of Steve's attempts to lure him under the mistletoe went unnoticed.

Steve's first attempt came as they gathered in the living room. He discreetly stood next to the mistletoe, casting hopeful glances at Eddie. But Eddie was engrossed in a conversation with Robin, completely missing Steve's hints. Disappointed but undeterred, Steve decided to try again.

A little while later, the group moved to the dining area, where a sumptuous feast awaited them. Steve's heart skipped a beat when he saw Eddie standing near the mistletoe. This was it, his chance to steal a kiss. He casually walked past Eddie, brushing their hands together, hoping Eddie would catch on. But Eddie remained oblivious, his attention focused on the spread of delicious food before him.

Determined not to give up, Steve made a third attempt during a lively game of charades. As Eddie laughed and cheered, Steve positioned himself strategically under the mistletoe, waiting for his clueless boyfriend to join him. But Eddie's focus was entirely on the game, and he never once glanced up at the mistletoe.

With each failed attempt, Steve's desperation grew. He couldn't understand how Eddie could miss all his hints. Finally, as the group talking in the living room, Steve couldn't wait any longer. He grabbed Eddie's hand, his face a mix of frustration and longing, and without saying a word, he began to lead him away from the group.

Eddie's heart raced as he wondered what he had done wrong. Was Steve mad at him? But Steve's grip on his hand was gentle, and he couldn't help but trust him as they moved further away from the living room. Eventually, they came to a stop in a quieter corner of the house.

Before Eddie could utter a word, Steve leaned in and captured his lips in a tender kiss. Eddie's eyes widened in surprise, but he quickly melted into the embrace, savoring the sweetness of the moment. After what felt like an eternity, they pulled away, their breaths mingling in the crisp air.

Confusion etched on his face, Eddie finally found his voice. "What was that for, Stevie?" he asked, his voice filled with curiosity and affection.

Steve smiled, blushing at the stupid nickname. "I've been trying to get you under the mistletoe all day, Eddie," he confessed, pointing up to the small sprig above their heads.

Eddie burst into laughter, the sound filling the room with joy. "You could have just asked me, sweetheart," he said, his eyes sparkling with mischief. And with that, he leaned in and gave Steve a quick, playful peck on the lips.

A surge of happiness washed over Steve as they made their way back to the living room, where their friends awaited, unaware of what had just transpired.

As the night continued, laughter and merriment filled the air, but Steve and Eddie couldn't help stealing glances at each other throughout the evening. And as they exchanged gifts, shared stories, and basked in the love that surrounded them, Steve knew that this Christmas would forever hold a special place in his heart.
