REVISED VERSION

---------My life truly started when I met Jahan, but that was only my Hunter journey. Before that, I considered myself a normal human being, aside from the fact that I lived on an abandoned island with my mother, and the fact that I am about two times stronger than the average human. But at that point, I had next to no contact with the human world at all. What was I supposed to do?
---
I had just turned 15, and I was beginning to wonder about the outside world. That is when my mother became strange. She started telling me that it's wrong to want to see the outside world, as if something terribly bad would happen if I left the comfort of the island. Mom warned me that I would be on my own out there, but at that point, I couldn't tell whether it was true or not. And for me, it was true. It really was, and I was alone for a long time...
Beyond here is a record of my journey as I became a Hunter and pursued my dreams.
----------------------
I have just left my home island, and we pretty much lived alone; me and my mom. Not much was known by us, but we tried to keep in touch with the world that was revolving faster than us. The only people who knew we lived there were our old friends who moved away a long time ago when this land was about to be sealed off for good.
Paddling easily, I looked back. The island was no longer in view, and it hardly took an hour to get to this point. My eyes flickered around me catching the sun and the beautiful sky as I rowed the boat. Making a steady speed, I began to feel tired. Mom says that using my extra strength makes me tire quickly. Maybe she is right... I am really tired. I miss mom.
Letting out a soft yawn, I let the oars slip into the boat and grabbed my bag, leaning back to lay my head on it. My leather bag was stuffed with food, some clothes, money, and bottled water. Of course, my water was in a special wooden bottle I made myself.
"I think I made the right choice..." I murmured, grinning slightly to myself, proud for running away from my home.
I can't live in the dark forever, can I? Maybe I could, but I shouldn't! What I need is something to satisfy this undying thirst! The thirst for more adventure! My curiosity has been peaked about the world revolving at a faster speed than my home, and what it's like. Perhaps weird animals live there? Perhaps they will think I'm normal? Maybe what I have done happens quite often and they won't be surprised that I ran away from my island to satisfy my thirst for danger? Mom said once, very long ago, that dad is out in the world beyond the wall. If I can find him...
My eyes closed and I drifted off to sleep, sparks flying in my brain as thoughts about my trip would soon turn into dreams, and those dreams into nightmares, and those nightmares into real life. What had I done? Just one terrible thing that would keep me resenting myself for years.
Nothing, I kept telling myself, nothing, I did nothing wrong! It was her fault! But blaming is useless except to revenge, and revenge turns to murder, and murder turns to... Horror and guilt.
My dreams spiraled on, continuing from my past, making my brain burn and ears smoke as I was thrust awake and back into the real world.
"There's a girl in the boat! What do we do?!" A man's voice cracked as he screamed in terror.
"Don't trust it, shoot it! It's probably disguised itself!" Another man with a more firm voice shouted.
"But..." The wimpier man's voice cried.
"Charlew, I'm ordering you!"
"Okay..." Charlew whimpered.
The bullet rang through the air towards the barely-knowing me.
