I looked out the window. It's been five years now... When will she come home? A boat came in, drawing closer and closer to shore, with what seemed to be Arietta with a hoodie on inside.

My eyes were full of joy, and I ran out to the island beach, "Arietta! How are you?" Concern and worry filled my voice as the girl in the boat came out and took a step towards me.

"M-mother?" Came the hoarse voice. She didn't sound too good.

"Sweetie? What's wrong? Did you get sick? Did someone hurt you? I swear, you're my only daughter, what would I do without you? Please, say something." I tried not to let off the feeling, but concern was naturally dripping from my voice.

"...None of the sort, mom. Just hurt my throat from yelling." I could've sworn that she had made a remark the moment earlier, but it must be my old mind acting up.

We walked into the house, and I noticed she still had her hoodie on, "What's wrong, sweetie? Cold?"

I wanted to be more like a mother than I'd ever been. Arietta must have seen many horrid and wonderful things, but I want her to stay with me, even if for only a week.

"Nothing mom, I just... Have a scar and don't really like to show it to anyone..." My candle was lit. No stopping me now.

"Who hurt you?!" I growled the words out, letting her know I was going to find out one way or another.

"Uh... A friend, mom! A friend..." She tried to calm me down. Key word, tried.

"So... How was your journey? Did you become a Hunter? How was that brat of a father, or did you not meet him? You wrote about your friends, aren't they sweet?" I fired away.

"Woah, woah, mom, not so many at one time! I'm only human, okay?" She almost grunted out.

"Fine, but you have to tell me about your trip within the week, okay?" I pressured her gently but wouldnt allow refusal.

"Okay..." She sighed in defeat, then asking, "Where should I sleep? It's been so long since I've been here!"

"You can sleep in the spare, first one up the stairs to your left." I answered, slightly in confusion, because she lived here her whole life, but I guess it's just because she doesn't know where to fit in now.

"Okay, thanks mom, goodnight!"

"Sure thing, goodnight!"

Her gaze now sharply met mine, giving me the chills. Why is my own daughter scaring me? I'm supposed to be the one scaring her!

She pulled off her hoodie, and a gasp of surprise was coughed out of my lungs.

"Hello mother... Happy to see your only daughter's sister?" Venk snorted out her irritation, a scar drawn across her forehead.

"But... But... Arietta..." My mind was running into dead ends-how was my other daughter still alive? She was killed by accident on that cliff!

"How? An angel saved me!" She seemed to be in her own dream world about the 'angel' that saved her.

I wasn't sure what to say after all this! Venk had died nine years ago, Arietta isn't home, and now my dead daughter is alive! Just what is going on?!

"Mother... I'm sorry. Can we start again? I won't run away ever again to play with Killua and Arietta out by the cliff!"

A pitiful chuckle rose out of my throat and I smiled tenderly, call it a mother's compassion. "It's alright, I love you Venk."

She started towards me. Plastering a true smile on her face, "Thanks mom, I always knew you would fall for that. You always were the nicest woman I knew. But to get revenge on the evil in this world, you need to go. I love you, my mother, Lebora."

Confusion struck my face, and everything went black.

A/N; Hey! Yeah... That was kind of depressing to write, but it's from.... LEBORA'S perspective! Lebora is Arietta and Venk's mom, if you haven't noticed yet... But, yeah! This chapter should be completely edited, if not, tell me what the problem is and I'll fix it. I was writing this with a bad headache, but so what?
