REVISED VERSION

////////////////////

Arietta's POV

////////////////////

I've felt a strong tension between the two boys since they came back all beat up... I wonder what happened? They must have fought. I think Jahan caused it, he is pretty annoying at times.

It's been an hour of walking and finally we are outside, by a tiny boat. What in the world? Are we taking a ride or something? How could all of us fit in that little boat?

"Hey! Guys! We are taking the second exam over here!" Called out the shrill and slightly-irritating voice of Sprig.

Poor girl. She got stuck with this horrid job. I wonder if they elect different examiners every year?

I looked at the strange woman with a sympathetic face. She seemed to have caught it, but shrugged it off. Maybe she didn't care?

Pariston was almost a head taller than me, and had his right arm wrapped across my shoulders, giving off a content vibe. I smiled up at the tall kid who was probably my younger brother that I never knew I had. Who knew someone so dumb like me could be related to someone so smart?

Honestly, I truly think he is, but I didn't know I had a brother before I came across the sea. Mother never told me! Did she want to keep it a secret? Or is there something else going on?

Jahan was trailing behind us with his hands locked behind his head, looking very calm, and probably tired. I could've sworn he was sleep-walking when we were in the end of the first exams. I though he'd be acting like a brat again, but he isn't bothering us at all, thankfully.

Suddenly, Pariston became stiff and serious. His arm was still around my shoulders, but his eyes were foggy. I wonder why?

That was when I saw someone I never thought I'd see. She had the same face as Pariston!

What's happening?

???'s POV

/////////////////

All was quiet as Sprig left, and I stepped on top of a rock to see all the examinees. That was when I saw my annoying son-it was unmistakable! How could I forget that face that looks so much like mine? Or the labor pains...

"Paris! Do you see me? I'm up here! Hello~!" I hope I was obvious enough.
Thankfully, he looked at me. Actually, I think he had been watching me with those blank eyes for a while now. But really, who is that beside him?

"Pariston! How are you? Are you still an annoying brat? What are you doing here?" My voice was full of joy, and I didn't care that everyone could hear us. It was aーpartialーfamily reunion after 5 years.

Ging's POV

////////////////

I blinked a few times as my eyes readjusted to the light. Something noisy woke me up.

Who's that? Looks like that annoying rat. I can't tell whether that thing is a male or a female, but it's probably male, considering it has no chest.

I snuck up behind the rodent's sister and whispered, "What's that?"

She didn't reply, staring at 'the creature' in confusion.

Why is she ignoring me now? Am I too irritating? Whatever-not my problem.

But I do want to know what or who it is, whenever someone will even tell me!
