REVISED //Aside

"I love you too, Arietta."

---
--???'s POV--

I looked down from my perch in the trees at the now sleeping couple. My long slightly wavy silver-blonde hair dangled down low, reaching around my thighs. Black eyes blinking with no feeling, I swiftly jumped down and towered over the duo. They were sleeping so peacefully, who would ever want to bother them? Simple answer: me.

Killua's eyes flashed open, a fleeting emotion of alarm going through his eyes when he saw me. My own eyes felt pierced, as though he were poking them with a thin dagger.

"Mona, what are you doing here?" He hissed, as though waking up his beloved was a bad idea. His left hand rested on her right. I think it was a practice-a way to get rid of that feeling of fear.

"I am merely here to say, 'Welcome home.' " My monotone voice expressed no emotion, not even the slightest feeling of happiness. His eyes widened, and his grip on the girl tightened.

"Did mother tell you to say that? Or was Silva trying to persuade me back?" Kil sounded threatened, like a small gazelle being cornered by a cheetah. Perhaps he was, in a sense.

Eyes void, I took a step closer. My footsteps made no sound, and I could hear everything, everything.

Everything included that girl's soft breathing getting hitched as she was listening to our conversation. I'm sure Killua noticed by now. She was listening to the whole conversation, though it wasn't long. Her eyelids still covered the hideous eyes underneath, thinking she hasn't been discovered. Nails slinking out silently, I planned her death in my head.

"Mona." Killua warned, eyes and mouth seeming to drip with venom.

"Mona... Don't you dare..." He repeated once more, as if in a verbal attempt to stop me. What a pathetic excuse of an attack.

In a flash, I was cutting through the horrible female's neck.

--Killua's POV--
---

Mona had aimed that hand for Arietta's throat, but I had relocated it with my own hand. My nails dug into her skin, penetrating the silky-soft surface, and plunging into her blood. I pulled back my hand when she let out a quiet sigh.

I've known Mona for a long time. She's my only sister, but she's Silva's twin. Those two make my life so much harder than it has to be. 'The strongest is to be the head', my butt! Who listens to that kind of crap?

Her eyes are void, much like what Silva's used to be like, although he grew out of that phase, and became more human-like.

"Get lost Mona..." I growled the words out, making her look at me in an odd way, one she's never used on me before.

"How could you speak to your older sister that way?" Her voice was full of emotion, and her eyes looked... Well... Normal!

This, for one, shocked me... But it shocked me even more when I saw that she was wearing a long black dress that reached her ankles. My eyes rose to meet hers, and tears were beginning to appear.

"What happened?" The words popped out of my mouth even before I knew what I'd said. Shock was like a mask glued onto my face, and I could feel a bit of her smiling in victory after she'd seen me act like this.

"Mom... She's dead." Mona cackled with laughter at the end, rolling on the ground, wiping the tears out of her eyes.

"What the heck, Mona?! Why are you laughing?" I screamed at her, seeing the insane Nen leaking out of her.

"I was the one who killed her." Fury burned up inside me. There was too much to think about already! I have a fiancé, my sister is trying to kill her, and probably me too, and because of Arietta I have to find another place to live!

"That's enough, Mona! Why would you laugh about something like that?! Who would kill their own mother, even if our family is a bunch of assassins? I can't believe that my only sister would be enough out of her right mind to go out and kill her own mother, and around the same time, try to kill her younger brother's fiancé! It's insane!" I cried out, not caring if I woke Arietta or not.

"I suppose I am insane..." My sister muttered to herself, giggling creepily at just the right moments.

That's when I stood up and slapped her across the face. She blinked quite a few times, trying to process what just happened, and then started walking off.

Her eyes were void once more, and her face pale, aside from the red left cheek, where I slapped her across the face. Nails short and normal-sized, she put her hands behind her back, whistling wistfully, stopping for a minute or two, only to break the horrid silence one last time for the night.

"I'll be leaving for tonight, but don't expect me to simply disappear, okay?" And with that she was gone.

A/N after Revision; Honestly not sure what to do with this chapter. Probably will just leave it as an aside.
